Well this project of mine has been going on for about the past 10 months. Unfortunately I don't have pics to document my progress. Me and my uncle set out to paint my car about 3 weeks ago and here is the outcome.

I know I got a little camera happy, but I'm just excited to have my car done. All of the body work was done by my Uncle and myself. I have to say that it did not come out perfect, but hell yes, it came out good! I still need to put back on a few minor things such as the fog lights and some other stuff. But other than that, I think that's all! Let me know what you guys think of the car.

-Thanks, Ryan

Your wheel intention was good...the out come looks poor. Staggered is nice, but stretched tires are blah. You don't even need stretch tires at that ride height.
lower it more, spacers in the front and then you might need some stretch.

I do like the paint choice and the overall look of the car though. good job

Looks great! The color compliments the car well. I'd have done the rear fender a bit differently, it almost seems too stretched. Awesome color though.

Thanks a lot for the compliments guys. I do have the spacers for the front, it's just that I didn't have them when I put the rims on at the spray booth, I only had the rear ones. As for the drop, I have Teins on them right now. But I have yet to find any suspension system that rides good and gives a lower drop than the Teins. Any suggestions? Don't even bother suggesting coilovers, cause I'm not interested in them. And as for my screenname, I've had it since AOL was in style and I was like 8-9 yrs old, so I kind of just never bothered having to remember a different one. I know the body work didn't come out GREAT, but hey, it was my first attempt at REAL body work. I've done minor body work before, but this was the most i've ever done in the area of body work. Painting and spraying comes easy for me.

Do you have any suggestions, other than coilovers, that rides good and gives you a better drop than the Tein S-Tech?

Just to clarify, the foggy areas on the hood and roof of the car is not from poor painting, it was just the morning and it was cold a bit so it had some condensation all over the car.

How wide are those rear wheels? I personally don't think it looks all that bad with the stretched tires on the rear, but I think the overall wheel sticks out too far. Do you have spacers on the rear? if so, can you take them off and still have the wheel and tire clear the strut? If you can, I'd take the spacers off in the rear and tuck those babys in there! Just my little $.02! Very nice looking car though overall!!

Thanks a lot bro! Yes, I do have spacers in the rear, and I also need to put the front spacers on as well, but I have to keep the spacers on the back because it rubs against the strut. They are 18x9.5 in the rear and 18x7.5 in front. I'm putting on the front spacers because it makes the rims more flush to the fender.

Yea, me too! ALthough there is one SMALL problem. I have class on Saturdays now and I'm hoping that I don't have a test on that day. I have no problem ditching the class, it's just that my teacher doesn't tell you about tests until the week before. Plus, he doesn't even give out a syllabus. Freaking professors! mad.gif

Perfect or not, its pretty damn good and im sure a hell of a lot cheaper than paying someone to do it. Im doing my first self paint job on my mr2 this summer because I cant see spending $2000 on a paint job for a $3000 car. If mine comes out like that i would be dancing.

The wheels aren't my style, but i like the subtle lips/skirts very nice.

Thanks a lot for the compliments guys. Yea, I was going for a sort of subtle look. Good luck with the paint job this summer; and remember one thing, be patient. I could've finished this car in a week, but I took my time and made sure I could do everything to the best of my ability.

For a second there I thought you may have been trying to make a supra but it looks great, its not riced out, and that rear tire and rim combo looks mean. thumbsup.gif

Edit: Now it just needs some clear corners on the front!

Yea, but they're FREAKING hard to find the clear signals for the 94-95 bumper. To think, I have a 99 GT and had to go and find a 94-95 bumper to put on that front lip. But anyways, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for all the compliments guys. I'm just glad my car is looking the least bit close to as good a s your guys cars.

What can I say? I like how the wheels look. The front ones need to be more flush and that's it. If the tires weren't stretched and the rear ones didn't stick out as much, it would be perfect. It's just a few tweaks away from perfection. Still looks better than most out there. The lip and width gives it a beefy look, like from a Supra. biggrin.gif

Lovin the mexi flush, color, upper hatch spoiler,, lip kit(Which one is it?). I would have ditched the three post spoiler and slammed it with coilovers. You might want to look at megan racing springs they drop a bit more than the teins do. Overall Sickas* whip!

The front lip is an original Hiro lip. Very hard to find an original, and I wouldn't buy a replica because fitment sucks. The Original one fits PERFECT. As for the rear roof spoiler, I found a guy on Ebay who had an original Toyota one. They sell replica's as well for about $80.00 shipped, I think there was a guy on here who sold replicas as well. The replicas fit just as good as the original spoiler too. I heard that the Megan Coilovers give a great drop, but how good is the ride. I got ONE negative feedback from those so far. But that's just one oppinion. Let me know.

-Thanks, Ryan

No, the color is a 98' Supra original Toyota color code. Imperial Jade Mica (6Q7). I also mixed in a couple teaspoons of gold pearl into it. So whenever light shines on it, it emits a gold shine. You have to see it in person, but it look HOT!

I think it looks great, nice work on that! I personally really like the way the tires look, I do agree that you need to get those front spacers on though. The backs, yeah, maybe you could bring them in a half inch, but really I think overall the ride looks awesome. Congrats and enjoy it!

It was $130.00 shipped and it came with all mounting hardware required. A small price to pay just to have a Toyota sticker on the inside of the spoiler where no one can see it! Thanks a lot Griffy, it means a lot coming from you! I am in search of a next set of suspension, anyone has suggestions on any springs that ride good and give you a nice drop?

You should ask trdproven that, he's got some pretty good experience with different springs and can probably make a very good recommendation.

Quite true, $50 is a big difference. I guess if fitment is no issue, and neither is the mounting hardware, I'll go for the replica. I appreciate it guy.

I am in search of a next set of suspension, anyone has suggestions on any springs that ride good and give you a nice drop?

You should ask trdproven that, he's got some pretty good experience with different springs and can probably make a very good recommendation.

Thanks a lot Griffy, you always have the answers!

It was $130.00 shipped and it came with all mounting hardware required. A small price to pay just to have a Toyota sticker on the inside of the spoiler where no one can see it!

I got the replica and yeah, no big difference at all. fitment was perfect. came with mounting hardware and everything. I got mine when the price was a bit cheaper. $60 or $70 I forget. but so worth it.
