Alright, well as most of you know, I ain't no car guru. Well my buddies 94 Yota Camry has some trouble starting. You see when he puts the key in the ignition, he can't turn it. It's the damnedest thing because it was working last week.

Anyone know where I should start to look to remedy this problem?

Well the good news is that that unlocks the steering wheel, but I still can't turn the key to start the motor.

broken ignition key/ cylinder. You need to buy a new one. The tumblers wear out and you simply just need to replace the whole thing.

I'm going to go with this option. It feels like when I shake the steering that I'm going to pinch my rack and pinion set. He has a spare one so I'd figure that 70 or 100 bucks are a better investment then replacing the steering.
