How much hp will the greddy sp2 exhaust system and the injen sri add to my 98 celica gt 5sfe. Just trying to see if it would be worth doing......

And is the greddy sp2 a direct bolt on ??????

if you are lucky around 5 haha basically its not much that lets just say look forward more to the sound and feel.

If you get headers there is a decent difference in your top end.

From what I've read on here; your realistic increase would be 15HP at most.

ive been reading around and asking people but..... all have mixed reviews.....

all i would want to get out of this is for my car to pick up more, unlike now where it seems like its going nowhere when i rev it to around 4000-4500 rpm in daily use but at rare occasions 1000 below redline. and i want it to throw me back a little..... but i dont think 15 hp more is gonna do that... or am i wrong???

i used to have a 7g celica gt and that was at 145 hp.... if i did all this would it be faster and more fun to drive than my 7g????

for N/a Build, get cams, intake, full exhaust, headers, wires, plugs, ignition, clutch, flywheel, suspension, and safc to tune, and lighten it as much as you can. thats your best bet for the GT to help it get faster. maybe give or take a few but 30hp rough estimate.

Your best bet is to do intake, exhaust, and send the cams off to be reground. Webcams can do a grind that's supposed to really help smooth the power band and move it up higher in the rpm range, more like a 4 cylinder should perform. Otherwise, you're not going to get much top-end power out of these motors.

Realisticly, either engine swap/ turbo, or just buy a different car if you're wanting to get thrown back in the seat.

Intake and exhaust are nice. In the end they just sound cool, unless you have other things done to your engine. Still if you want it, do it!

yeah man.... im stickin with the celica, ive always liked celicas and this is my 2nd..... also theres so much history behind them in the wrc.....theres no way i would buy another car biggrin.gif ..... but i might do an engine swap a few years down the road when this engine goes out.... even though this car is a little slow i still love it and am keeping great care of it so it lasts..... shes only got 109000 miles so it has a lot of life left in it...... i guess im just gonna have to bear with it for awhile and wait untill summer to see what ill actually do to it.... as of now that i finally realize that theres basically no way of getting it faster at the moment for 2500 bucks or below...... i minus well get it to look cool and "fast" as a 7th gen commercial states lol.... prolly gt4 front end conversion, 17s, and lower it a little, and in my opinion i think ive got a better lookin car than my old 7th gen celi..... but i guess in reality im gonna have to bear with the slowness untill i swap it and the big problem money. because i think a total engine swap is around 5700 bucks to do it right frown.gif

oh yea you can get it faster with that amount for the NA build.

get cams, intake, full exhaust, headers, wires, plugs, ignition, clutch, flywheel, suspension, and safc to tune, and lighten it

instead just get everything but the suspension and safc and someone who can tune his best manually. My friend can tune pretty good manually with reliability.

well, you could buy shannon's turbo kit from the fs section. its in your 2500 range, and I'm sure jim wants it gone too.
