Hey guys/girls, I want to paint my 98 GT, but i dont know what color to go with. I was thinking white or black, but I was wondering if there is any other color that looks good on our cars. Its silver now and has paint chips so I will be repainting the whole car for spring break. Any help?

040 is the paint code for white. A good look on 6GC's. Personally, I'd just give it a fresh coat of 199 Alpine Silver, but I'm biased. wink.gif

Its that color now, but I am liking white more. I sprayed my stock rims gunmetal and I think that it would look sweet with white. Thats just me wink.gif

Agreed with whatthe. If I ever get into an accident, mine is getting repainted that colored. As much as I like the Super White II, the pearlescent white of the new Lexus' is my favorite.

I would go with the white because you wouldn't want to paint your car black and god forbid if you got paint chips again, you would see it pretty bad since the original color was silver. With painting the car white, it's a relatively closer color to silver than black. This means that you would be less likely to notice every paint chip if there were any. I know, most of you are saying that you wouldn't get paint chips if you get a good paint job done, but I like to play it safe. Also, with most re-paints you are gonna get a paint chip sooner or later. Just depends on how often you drive on the highway and stuff like that. Just my $0.02

That is why I went with white. Dont get me wrong black does look really nice, but I have a friend with a black RSX and he said that it's a pain to try to keep the car clean. Everyone has their own opinion and how they like to deal with things like that I guess.
