here are some new pics of my attempt at custom door sills( i have new ones so i thought i would try something wit the old ones.)

Project iluminated door sills.
ok first remove the door sill, it pops right off, then i would clean it with some water and soap

< then note the position of the little space between the two plastic pices( you will be able to see wires)
this is where the light(i used an led) will be placed

<next mark the spot on the sill to show where the opening was under it (this is where u will cut out the lettering)

here are the tools i used,+ an exacto knife

it will need a little sanding but it looks ok

with your knife remove the small amount of plastic so the light will be able to shine through.

next i used a flat black spray paint to give it a beter look(keep in mind i never sanded the lettering down yet.

i will update more on how to install the light but as of last night they looked really cool!

I may have to steal your pics and bring them to the shop. The exhaust doesn't hat on anything? or when the car is lifted?
Everywhere around me said that they dont bend pipe to the extreme that the stock is, and they said it would hit if it went under, but that was back when i was 16 so i just believed them lol. hopefully you can tell me differently

the only place the exhaughst hangs on is the muffler, and i was told it was going to hit the ground by the muffler shop so i brought it to another place and they said it would be fine, i have not had one probleme yet. do not listen to them it will be fine just as long as your car isnt droped so far. im sure it will work.

pm me if you have any questions

thanks! i didnt know if there was anything different from the two names. i hope the shed some time off.

Well if I'm reading that right that tire is 23.5" Outside Diameter x 13" wide x 15" Inside Diameter. I don't think you could ever get that on a 6" wide steely, but but even if ya had the right wheel I'm pretty sure it's not going to fit in the 6G wheel well either.

Oh I don't care about having an ST either. It's just that the SSIII grilles are for, well, the SSIII's. That's kind of like telling everyone that you're an astronaut when really, you work at Pizza Hut. That's what I was getting at. I LOVE my ST. It's slow, but I get there in style.

i have some kid that i went to school with tell me that i should go buy a real car and that my celica is slow as sh**t, he drive a grand prix with blue light woo hoo i could care less if he had subs and spinners, i personally think celicas are very sexy, under rated cars.

Yeah, my friends always make fun of me, but they're just teasing. No one around here really knows much about 6gc's, so they just label it as a decently fast, mini-Supra looking car and go on about their way. But I agree, our cars have curves to spare wink.gif

here is a little project that anyone can do that i thought was pritty cool,
things you will need, 10 feet of wire.
2 led lights(any color) 12v.
a switch.
drill.
about 30 mins of your time.

here are the end results..

this is what its like in the light.

they didnt have blue so i thought red would stand out nice. it WILL NOT drain your electricity, i left them on all night. you get alot of looks when its parked on the side of the road.

mhmm more goodies, cooper lites, prototype slicks, just what i needed for autocross. plus the header is finally in and im going to have to put another muffler in because its way loud!! but it looks so nice(only if it would stay those colors forever)

im going to go to the junk yard and look for some rims, paint them black and i will be good to go!

i always wondered what my car really was before i found it, and today i finally found out. the kid i bought the car from, bought it from another college student who one night came home drunk and wanted to shave his door handles off, (hence the 95 white celica st doors on the car)... well he was so drunk he just ended up taking the door handles off all together. then im pritty sure he watched fast and the ferious one two many times and wanted a body kit, i thnk he was drunk again for this part(enuf said).... the car was sold by his parents to an auto place in town when the kid i bought the car from bought it there. the car had no door handles, only the dash and back seat were in the car, no hood, front bumper, or fenders. and one bad paint job with rust. then i found the car bought it last feb. and here it sits i my drive.( dont know anything about the car before the two owners i have just told about) im gettin there lol

That stinks, at least it has a owner that cares about it now. smile.gif I bought my car from a female school teacher from Cali, haha. Needless to say it's changed A LOT since then. Good luck with restoring it and continuing the project!

well it doesnt shock me to see that the people in my town are stupid, i found out today that my car was owned by someone who probably wasnt what the person who told me he was, really was. (srry travis, they told me one crazy story) and i shouldnt talk before i get the whole story. so lets start over shall we. my car was owned by a 6gc.net-er ..(TaKtikal_6G)
it was a parts car, and was then sold to the auto dealership in town. i had the pleasure of meeting travis today and he seams to be very keen with 6gc's. (sorry if the post above affainded you, thats what i was told by the owner before me.) other than feeling like a fool now.. chears!

They look nice, I just don't really like seat belt pads. Problem is, they're back home in Texas. I can see if my mom is willing to pack them up in a small box or something.

a long night and alot of lost coolant kindasad.gif ive been working on the coolant bypass, and running hose to the cooler and back but i had a few bad goes at it lol. first of all i didnt tighten down the hose clamps so i made it 100ft before i lost some coolant. then i drove it around the block a few times and noticed that it was dripping here and there, so i opend the hood and saw another line that i didnt clamp down was leaking so i shut the car off and went to push the line into place and BOOM,... SLPASH... AHHHH!!!! FU*&^*K... yup i got a 100degree+ shower on my face and arms.. so i wait for it to cool clamped it down and slowley brought it home. tomarrow im going to go get a bunch of clamps and othere little things to finish it off, but whats cool is it works! woo hoo, minus the slight burns i now have..... mother was not happy when i woke her up to tell her. rolleyes.gif

Looks good! That's a nice touch. My IS has everything wrapped in cloth in the interior. Kind of makes me want to wrap quite a bit of the Celica's interior like that. You beat me to it.

i like that youre really enthusiastic about your car. but in my opinion i think you should go for a stock front bumper and stock fenders. itll totally clean up the look of your car and make it look A LOT better..your car right now just reminds me of a snake cause the fenders look like scales and the front bumper looks like it has fangs..lol but that's just my opinion. not like it matters. lol

ok, it been awhile sence i have posted on here, i have done a few little things here and there to the car, nothing major. but over all.....im frustrated., beyand belief. i have been now trying to find a stock bumper and fenders, and its impossible. i have searched all the junk yards, online, pritty much everywhere, and nothing!(orelse they want way to much for it) its gotten to the point where i want to just take my front end off say heck with the police and drive the car with no front end. i have a friend with a stock front end but he wont come through and make the deal i asked him, so its been about 2 months now and no luck..... F#@$%K!!!
