Well if you have a coupe, you have about ZERO options aside from the Curren tails which are hard to get and expensive. The HB has the aftermarket circle tails which look like garbage, and JDM tails for the HB are on ebay all the time, but also, quite expensive.
We got shafted in the aftermarket department. -------------------- |

there's a company in the uk who're possibly going to make afterburner style lights...
http://www.quadconversions.com/Celica/celi...urner_forum.htm the pic doesn't show the proper colour match as yet as they're prototypes. |

i prefer my stock ones over that... How about Altezza Euro Style.... Would there be any other car, whose tail lights might fit a celi, with some mods(patches, fillers etc...)... |

no altezzas, no euros. all thats made for the hatch is the ST205 lights, and those afterburner things. other than that you are on your own.

Well, I don't think any kind of altezzas/euros would look good on our cars, I'd have to see. Sixth gens never really got popular, probably because the engines weren't considered very tuneable, like Hondas. Now, the 7th gens, imo, look good with euros.

Well....it is probably hard to design a really nice one for our cars and even if you did create one you would have to see how it would look in real life.
PLUS, you have to guage interest in it and not everyone here is interested in altezzas, but maybe another style like jaguar style or JDM curren style |

it's would cost a company around 100k just to make a D O T approved proto type ... so it would take a few hundred people for them to make the anything ... cause it always cames down to how much money they can make..

I've seen s2000 tails on a 6th gen and I personally don't think it matches well. As for your question with Altezzas... there simply isn't a high enough consumer demand? Why? Because MOST people think euro lights on our ALREADY nice cars is (for lack of a better word) retarded-looking. Not to mention, Altezzas should remain on the car they were originally designed for... The Altezza and the Harrier, aka Lexus IS300 and RX300, respectively. |

you could do what im doin and have em painted same color as the car but with translucent paint. ill get pics up as soon as i get the car back. almost looks like the tails are just part of the car and not a separate piece.

about the redoing, it'd be difficult but i suppose it's possible. it would require a whole lot of paint thinner, rubbing, and the passing out every once in awhile from the fumes lol. and dude, im not talking about redding out my tail lights. im talking about getting them painted so they look opaque like the rest of the car yet light shines through.

Jussten, wow.... you got some design skills my man! If i ever open a shop, you can be on my design team cause that pic looks very professional. I actually think those look very good. You should try to get a job in that field of work.
Batman722 has a point though. Not that i care that your design setup does not have reverse lights (i like the desigh just the way it is) but to be a legal design it would have to have some. Nice clean work though, dg -------------------- ![]() |

i think it would be phat to put the reverse lights on the non-circular piece towards the inside with the design right now. so it would be like a small curved rectangle. -------------------- i am awesome

ok for the reverse lights on the photoshopped tails i say put just a clear piece in the first bottom "triangle"(the part inbetween the most inner circle light and the middle circle) that would be the best place to put a clear reverse light
