I'm buying another 240 with a SR20DET and S15 front end conversion.
With that being said my car will be for sale for 2K. With old engine for parts an the new one with the wiring harness and ecu all there.

I like everyone on this forum I plan to stay on here and stay social and help out with any questions I can answer. And if my at doesn't sell, then I guess I'll just let it sit there until I'm finished with the 240 I'm getting.

Nothing is 100% yet I'll find out tmo afternoon if I'm for sure getting it. But I'm about 90% sure I'll be driving it home tmo.

And for Yarik, you are by far my favorite person I've met on this forum. Lol !

240's are fun cars, and as long as they've been maintained right, they'll last forever. The S15 is a great looking front end too. Definitely post some pics up.

Im going to be finding out in a few hours if it's goin to happen. But I'll poet pics when I get back. It's a project. I'm mainly buying it for all the parts that comes with it. Lol, the hood is carbon fiber, the trunk is carbon too with plexi glass back. Fenders rolled with full complete trine suspension set up. 275's in the back 245's in the front. I'll just scan the sheet of all the parts and everything when I get home.

I'm not sure if this should be in general or O/T, so you can move it if you need to.

O/T since it's not 6gc related, but it's cool. It's a good read nonetheless. Sounds like a good car.

Alright Manny you can move this to O/T that's my fault. And its a pretty solid car. Tones of greedy parts just needs some body work and it's perfect. I'm getting rid of that plexi glass trunk though.

So I got it, picking it up tmo afternoon with a few parts. I got the greddy fmi Profec type s boost controller. Apeci power FC, blah blah blah alot of other stuff. I'll post pics up tmi for sure.

And yea I'm just going to run the celi through auction and see if I can get like 2-2500 for it. Hell even 1700 would work. So I can buy the greddy 760 injectors and a gt28 turbo so I can drop the sr20 in it. It still has the KA in it.

Ill have better pics sometime next week when i get it inspected and cleaned and everything. It has 36 Way ajustable coilovers, witha bout 3K on them, pillow top mounts, ajustable camber plates, front and rear strut bars, 6point roll cage, inside is gutted, no rear seats, or rear panels, no spare tire, carbon fiber hatch, carbon fiber hood, ( need S15 hood hinges ), S15 complete front, front and rear wide body fenders. 30MM 300ZX TT brakes front and rear with steel brake lines.

And parts that come with it.
SR20DET ( roughly 30K from 240sxmotorsports.com, with receipt )
Wiring harness already sent off and wired correctly for the swap for plug and play
Greddy Type R BOV ( with stiffer and softer spring )
Greddy Oil Catch can
Greddy Profec Type S Boost controller
Apexi S.A.F.C II
APexi metal head gasket for the SR
Greddy over flow tank
Greddy Type S intercooler and piping
Greddy Downpipe
Greddy engine torque dampener
Greddy Intake manifold and Fuel Rail
Megan Racing turbo manifold
HKS Hi Power Exhaust
Stage 5 Spec twin plate clutch with 8lb flywheel
300ZX TT Radiator and 12' electric fans ( installed )
Z32 MAF
5 lug conversion ( Installed )
Everything to swap it from Auto to manual, including tranny, wiring.... everything.

And the only thing I need to buy in order to swap in the SR are:
Apexi Power FC ( ordering next week )
Greddy 760 Injectors
Gauges and Gauge pod

and the optional upgraded pulleys and of course the little things like oil pump, water pump, fluids. the usual. Im just going to run the KA until i have those things and im ready to put it in.

Im getting the Kouki 180sx tails for sure. But looks arent on my agenda right now. Just finishing up getting the last bit of parts needed to put in the SR.

I bought it basically for the parts, the parts alone are worth double what i paid for the car, and there all new, and all have receipts. ALL OF THEM. And the front bumper was gone anyway. It had been broken and repaired so many times previously. Honestly you'd have to see it in person.

I've always thought S15's and S13.5's look AMAZING in matte black. That's just my opinion.

Here's an example

Yesssir, Its going to be the Daily, my power goals with all the parts it came with im looking for 400whp, which really doesnt seem to hard to achieve with all the parts it came with. He was shooting for 800 with a T88. Im selling the T88 and going to go with a Garrett GT35. It isnt HUGE and it isnt small. Its perfect for 400.

More pics ! Got everything moved over to my garage yesterday before work, I took these just now with my phone. If you need better just ask and I'll try. Theres ALOT more parts in his apartment but I told him to hold onto them for now until he moves.

Custom Spec Stage 5 twin disk, with 8lb fidanza flywheel

extra parts, like a extra set of S15 fenders ( 20mm ) the old 4 lugs, old knuckles, old brakes, and a bunch of other random things that were replaced with new. But hey you never know what you might break or need later on.

Im outside cleaning it right now so i'll post better pics either later on tonight of it cleaned or I'll post more sometime this week when I officially have the car in my drive way. I havnt driven it but twice so far. No insurance and inspection is over a year out of date and the cops here dont mess around they stereo type exhast and have a 3in HKS Hi Power on a NA KA engine makes it retarded loud. So I know if I were to drive home I would get pulled over. So sometime this week around Thursday or so it will be inspected, insured, and CLEANED. Engine bay, rims, tires, rear hatch, inside, ext. Shes been neglected too long.

AND still have the Celica, My friends little brother wants it. So if he decides to get it, he WILL be joining this site. And whoever buys it will get the book i made on the research ive done on Beams, 5sfte and 3sgte swaps and builds. lol.

If money goes the right way it will be in the car and everything decemberish, if not sometime in the spring. It just depends on how busy work is. Instead of getting the usual 17hr I'm getting 12. Isn't bad, but I'm missing that extra 500 or so every 2 weeks. The last parts o need are the most expensive.

Apexi Power FC
GReddy pulley kit
Gauges + Gauge pod
Lastly I'm going with the Garett GT35R.

I'm thinking while I save that I'm going to go ahead and fix the body so all the body lines are straight. And Dynomat the entire back and inside.

Update: So I cant check the damn ECU for codes because guess what, the damn green light on the ECU board is missing so even if I turn it to diagnostic mode I cant check it for codes. GREAT.

Symptoms of KA Problem:

Start the car up, about 10 seconds go by and it sputters out and dies. After about the 10th time, it will idle normally, and if i give it barely little gas it goes just fine, but if i drive it normally it like almost immediately sputters out and dies. And I cant figure out what it is. Cant check the ECU, Ive changed the spark plugs, check and cleaned dizzy, cleaned MAF. its still pretty bad. And its extremely annoying. It just has to get me back and forth from work for like 2 more months and the new heart can be transplanted in. lol

Anyone have and pointers ?

the past 2 days ive been messing with it before work while theres still daylight. I found a cracked vacume line, replaced it for 15 bucks ( yes a vacume line for 15 bucks thats like 5in long ) bought some sea foam cleaner and sprayed and scrubbed the inside and out of the throttle body, and adjusted the idle screw. works like perfect now. I mean it sputters pretty badly from 1-2K RPMs but damn its wayyyy better than before. It doesnt die constantly now. Im not really sure what else to try besides replacing the distributor and cap. and maybe plug wires. Thats all i can think of.

Boy is this thing fun to take corners with though. biggrin.gif

It's in the car and running. Havnt driven it yet. I drove it like around the block, parked it, and now it just sits there and I start it ever other day for about 20minutes. I'm going to attempt sea foaming the car and see how that works. Only problem I have Is running it lol, I'm scared it going to die while i have it on and the throttle going. Lmfao. I think I'm just going to leave it in the garage, and DD the GT until I get the last parts for the SR. which is GReddy pulleys, ( ordering next week with gates belts ) power FC, injectors, bigger turbo I'm thinking Garett gt2871r.

I'd say stage 2. My buddy has a Stage 2 in his S14 240 and he says it's the perfect balance, he's tried all but stage 4. But each person has a different leg lol

Soooo I need a new turbo, the stock T25 is a goner, it wont even spin. Literally. I oiled it, took a impact to it to spin it and try and free it up, nothing. So0o0o say hello to my new turbo. Its tiny but makes perfect power for what im looking for with the supporting mods and has a super quick spool.

Good for 420hp which is plenty for my goals, and it has a internal wastegate so it fits my manifold perfect.

Sold the HKS for 800 bucks to a local guy, ordered a Garrett GT2871R. Its about 2 sizes bigger than this one and the disco potato. good for about 450 maybe a bit more.
