hey guys....mkernz22 and I were doing some conversating on one of my threads and we thought it would be interesting to find out what colors are LEGAL in your state.
i do lots of customizing to headlights, so knowing this info will be very helpful in seeing which states allow which color bulbs to be used as running lights, parking lights, reverse lights, etc... so if you know which colors are allowed... please post.. thanks This post has been edited by 350niZmo: Sep 28, 2010 - 11:07 AM -------------------- ***Z-TOON Dezignz***

To start it off:
For MA, I know for a fact that you cannot have red or blue as driving lights because it is considered "immitating a police car". Any other color goes as long as it is for a "visual purpose" and not for show. (I meant as in any color for driving lights, not lights that can distract drivers) This post has been edited by mkernz22: Sep 28, 2010 - 9:32 PM |

Yellow and white are legal in all states - that's it.
You might be getting away with blue or whatever but as far as legality goes - see above This post has been edited by DEATH: Sep 28, 2010 - 11:28 AM -------------------- ![]() ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. ^^^ That's going to be fairly standard across all the states. White is a safe bet for being legal.

oh bro, I want to mention VIRGINIA... whoever lives in this state dont bother... from what i understand and experienced, EVERYTHING is illegal in virgina.... its probably illegal to sneeze and drive at the same time in that state.
i used to own some aftermarket led's on my car, and a fellow tuner at a gas station told me to turn them off because police would DEFIANTELY pull me over. mine were yellow thought as long as they werent red or blue i was ok. i accidentally turned them on while at a rest stop near the border and a trooper came up to me and told me to turn them off or he'd write me a ticket. I gave him he WTF?!? look, complied, and immediately got out of my car and sat down elsewhere until he left. -------------------- |
