For those that don't know, its in NorthEast Tennessee, just a few miles north of Knoxville

i know we have a long time ahead for the planning,
I think the meet should be held in june or july like last year,
i would like to have the meet start at a Autocross event,(we will figure out when they are having an event at that baseball field parkin lot), that way we can watch some runs/ race if u want to sorta thing, then after thats over, ride into pG and eat, then go into GB and ride around and take pics.......

i liked the Cabin we got last year, but we didn't have enuf beds.

that was a pretty nice place to meet up last year, in the big parking lot beside of fuddruckers, but we could always meet up at the Tanger Outlet mall there in case some people wanted to do some shoppin while we were there.

just leaving the floor up for suggestions!

Eric, getting started a little early are we? tongue.gif Anyway this is a good idea to get a feller for what people want to do. The Autox would be a cool place for some of us to meet up at especially the ones that stay the first night in the cabin. I know that Charlie had wanted to go cruzin more around Gatlinburg besides driving int he mountains. But if some of us want to go run the tail later on thats cool. Tim we can deffenatly make it a 2 day thing if some of us are wanting to stay and go drive in the mountains. But all I want to do is meet up with everybody, go for a drive, I would like to this time have a cookout at some place, maybe we could scout one out when we go hit up the tail some time before hand eric, gokarts are always a plus. I will deffenatly get a larger cabin this time so that we can have more beds. As for when it would be I would say around the same time, june or july. But preaty much do some of what we did last year but add some new things or change up the old ones.

I will definitely be there again. If all goes well I should have the days off needed to be there Fri this year.

Anyone coming from the south(FL, GA, AL) can meet here at my place(Chattanooga, TN). I'm about 2 hours from Knoxville(PF is just a hair east of Knoxville).

I hope I can make this one. I really hated missing the last one because of my stupid ace alignment problems. Keep the dates flexible. I'll just pray that I don't have any duties to attend to on the days of the meet.

that is quite the drive, im just wondering what we are going to do with 20+ cars this time! they are going to have to shut down the road for us!

and on the way to GB, we should all stay in the same lane, so when we go through GB, we are all together in one big line

We're also going to have to find somewhere to meet up ahead of time. After all, with that many people we don't want to have to change spots at the last minute like last time.

Maybe we could meet at the GB visitors center(noticed the nice big parking lot), or at the Nascar go kart track(again, a really big lot).
We should also start a phone # list(updated, I know mine's changed since last year) and those of us with radios(FRS or GRS) need them on, just in case we get booted from out spot again.

Yeah I WILL NOT HAVE FLYING LESSONS this time. Plus after this week I will be finished with most of my flying lessons for now. Oh I would say that your should not want miss this. We will deffenatly be in a larger cabin and have a couple more things to do. Plus lets hope that the weather will be alot better than last time. OH and I learned my lesson the hard way and I will not have another.

i still can't believe the hype goin on about this meet!

people from all over are wanting to come!

just like the black hills corvette convention(started with just a few owners goin on camping trips) maybe it will only continue to grow because each year new people show up and it may sound cliche or whatever, but its people that you will keep in contact with for the rest of the days

San Diego would be one heck of a trip. I don't have an exact address, but Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg is about 30 minutes East of Knoxville, TN. So directions all the way to Knoxville would be the same.

I figured up a trip to Cali a couple years ago, and TN to CA was gonna take 3 days and cost around $150 in gas(each way). And that was when gas was $1.17 and I was getting 30 mpg.

12 hour drive from where I'm at but I'm in. If it's in July and over a weekend I'll be in for sure. I'll bring Celica and Supra.

Well, the Supra started life as the Celica Supra, so I guess it fits in. Not to mention a lot of us love Supras as well, or Toyotas in general.

hey is this a Private meet, or is anyone welcome? Cause Pigeon Forge is like 20 minutes away from me. I'll pitch in cash if needed for anything.

No man its not a private meet. Its open to any celica owner. So keep an eye on the boards for updates on when and whats going on for it. We should have some idea about when after the new year.

78-81-40. 11.5 hours coming from Jersey City.

The more the merrier. If you get a few people coming from the NE you could always form a caravan of Celicas.

I know I had a blast last year, and plan on bringing other local Celica enthusiasts along this Spring. And I look forward to partying(sp?) with everyone again(except for the guy in the Mustang and Bryans brother, I could have done without them).

Well I would like to have it back in early June again, however since it looks like we will be having mroe people that will be coming from a farther distance this time early July seems to be a better time. But if any of you all that are in the local area want to meet up some time in June let me know and we can work something out. So for now plan on it being in early July.

I think we're all hoping we have some stuff done by then. I need new rims, the rest of my bodykit, paint, and new seats. Then I start saving for a new engine.

I'll definately be there, with my new (to me) 96 25th anniversary! So much of a step up from the 91 st that was falling apart.

I may even be able to get some rims on it by then. I'm looking at getting some 7th gen 5spokes. Is there a bad wheel gap on those w/ stock height?

the new car is like night and day compared to the old one. Smoothe ride, the shift throw is about 50% less, clutch feels a hell of a lot better...

good suspension...nice paint..better sound system..sunroof.

the only negative I can think about is it has a little less headroom because of the sunroof, but I can deal with that. It just took me a while to find how I needed the seat positioned.

All I need now is to find some 7th wheels. Anyone know if those bolt right up? oh..that and a good waxing , but I'll wait till spring to do that.

I can't do anything like cai intake or headers, because of the warranty. But w/ 100,000 approaching on the car, the warranty will be nice if I need a timing belt or anything.

But yeah, If it's anything like last time w/ 6th gens, and me adding one more..it will be crazy.

Jwells, Josh is that you? Thats sweet that you finally got you a 6th gen. well the 7th gen wheels will fit. Ask coldiron if he still has his old rims and is wanting to sell them. I think that the 5th gens this time will be way out numbered. Oh and I haven't even posted over at c.net about the meet. So we will gather some more from there.

Very nice purchase Jwells.
We might as well just call it a 6th gen meet since we outnumber the others at least 2:1.

Eric, You are required to bring the alltrac. The reason why is that is is rare and cool. Besides we need the rep from the other gens also.

I'm very interested. It'd be about a 14 hour drive, but I think I can make it worthwhile if..

We make some kind of flyer (generic black and white) that advertises the meet, what we're doing, things you should bring.. basically just an informative brochure, but on one page. There's two-three other 6gen's at my school, and a few (about 4) more that I've tracked down in local cities. Also a few 5gen's I see every now and then (one on my street), and 2-3 more 7gen's at my school. So I'm thinking that if we made a really simple flyer (after getting some good dates setup, etc), I can run some copies of it on different colored paper and stuff, and put them on the other Celica's I see windshield, try and bring them up there with me. The more the merrier I suppose, and that would encourage other people going to do a similar thing and invite their friends with Celicas as well.

Sounds good to me, and the sooner the better for most people (especially, well, if we're going to be coming from a long ways away).

And, this is open to other generation Celicas right? (don't want people to get mad at me for bringing 5th/7th gen's..)

only prob is most celi's around here are beat to hell daily drivers, not many look like an owner that would care.
