can anyone help me find more information on the t66-1 turbo. My friend has one left over and he said I could use it on my celica. I believe it to be not the case, because I don't think I'm gonna have enough back pressure to spool until its too late. Any urls to more info about this turbo or any input would be very much appreicated

by back pressure i think he mean there wont be enough exhaust pressure to spool the turbo quickly. aka turbo lag.awhile back in sport compact car the was an article for fitting a turbo to your motor there where a bunch of equations that were simple to use. Then you need to find compressor map and plot your point you find from the equations.I think your best bet is to find a compressor map and find the article. hope this little bit of input helps at all,

i'm gonna go out on a limb and say that thing would be a little too big for a celica...too large for either the ST or GT...but thats just my opinion. the lag on that turbo would be SOOOOOOOOOO nuts. smile.gif.

um yeah,

that would never ever spool

i dont even think it would fit under the hood between the radiator and the block.

Build what up? The motor? Will that make need for a huge turbo?

no, you would never boost a BUILT 7a over 20, and 15psi would be pushing it. A CT-26 can boost 20 no problem, and they aren't all that bog. That Monster turbo would be better for a V8 or Supra or something.
