What's a catch can?  And what does it do?

It is used for Catching oil that gets out of the valve cover. It is used to avoid smoke on most cases then turboing your car, or just to keep your intake manifold clean of oil then running N/A... So im going for the turbo setup soon, so thats why i made it already... smile.gif

doggy,

was anything in the place where you mounted the catchcan?

on my car, and all USDM 7afe's have a vacuum modulator there for the EGR.

just wondering if it was the same for your car.

nice can btw, i made one out of a water bottle, lol. nothing professional but it works.

lol. i've seen tons of gatorade bottles and stuff like that. They are perfect if you're looking for a cheap and efficient catch can.

I never realized how many differences the non-US 7a's had. No wonder yours makes more power wink.gif

Beautiful custom work bro. What size turbo did you decide on?

Nope, there was nothing in that palce, and yes we do not use Vacum Modulator here in Europe smile.gif

There are a lot of differences ya know, we from the stock have disk breaks on ST, we have no Vacum moduliator, we have only one O2 sensore, and we have different header on some models... And yes, thats why we have more power wink.gif

And about turbo, im going to use T3 garett from saab, but i still have no actuator with WG...

And thatns guys for compliments... I will keep updates coming smile.gif

doggy you are the man. One question though. Why do you spent time with bits and pieces and not get a 3S GTE engine mounted on your car and do all this on the new engine?

Why to get ready POWER when i can make one MYSELF??? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Actually, there are NO 3S-GTE here there i live (there are only few GT4 5 gens here only, and no sign of 6 gen at all) so finding only the engine would be very hard...
