Seriously? How much does it normally cost to do the tires at a place? $50 or so for a mount and balance? I do mine at work, but as far as that goes, you still need to balance them...

No even close to worth it.I used to change tires back in HS in auto class and it was a BITCH. Even with the expensive ass snap on changers it was really hard to do low pro tires and it took sometimes like 4 people. That thing looks like its made for lawnmower tires haha. Heres why not:

1. Your gonna scratch the **** outta your rims
2. It will be impossible with low pro tires
3. Its like 15$ per tire to have them mounted and balanced

for UNMOUNTING only, sure if you're doing a large volume of 'regular' tires.

hey berto, do you have a vo-tech high school near you? if so, you may want to take a ride over, and have a talk with the shop teacher.
my cousin made friends with the local vo-tech "shop" teacher, and thru them we can have tires unmounted, mounted, balanced, all that jazz for free! (they unmounted, cleaned the bead seats on the rims, put new valve stems in, remounted and balanced jims rims and tires on the alltrac for me)
best part is, they WILL NOT take any money, they just want you to keep bringing things in to keep the kids buzy.
i wouldnt bring them a 3k set of volks, but hey, last i checked, none of us are running crazy rim setups..lol

@manny - I should have a major facepalm to this. I go to a vo-tech school, and i bought new tires at some repair shop, but i had the shop put them on instead of the auto shop at my school. wtf was i thinking?

Manny what was your cousins experience with them scratching the rims at all? It just seems to me if you have some nice rims you wouldnt want a bunch of kids to be manhandling them when its fairly cheap it get it done by a pro.

10 off + 10 on + balancing X4...isnt so cheap.
they did an EXCELLENT job, dude.
they have high end equippment, just like the pros.
no extra scratches on them that wernt already there.

i am having them install a set of tires on jenns rims here in a couple weeks.
