hey guys i just went and got my psv valve and im wondering is there a gasket i need to buy? or is what i have here all i need?

there should be a grommet that sits on the valve cover. I decided to replace mine, and the damn thing broke off and bits of dried rubber made their way below. So if you do decide to remove the grommet (for what ever reason) please by careful.

so the valve just pulls out, and the rubber part will stay in. or should i go buy the grommet?

the valve will pull out, and the grommet should stay in. I wouldnt buy one unless you had to (the grommet).

go to a napa and ask for a grommet pcv insert; they'll know
