I was watching TV a few months ago and saw a kit called "Sandair" where you place a stencil on something and etch it into glass. I just remembered my ingenius idea today. I was thinking about buying this kit and putting tribal designs on the bottom of my window or else a quote or something.

Would this work with automotive glass? Has anyone ever heard of this being done?

Haha if not I proclaim this as the "Anderson Etch"

Oh, sorry : please move to exterior.

I think the idea is a good one, but how exactly do these look bad? Be a little more descriptive please.

yea the only thing is u would need it to be PERFECT or it would look ****ty. it'd be cool if it like flowed with your graphix or something like that. other than that i cant see why u would do it. and its one of those mods that is not easily reversible. so u better make sure thats what u want to do before u do it. i think it might look pretty good if done right. if you're into lighting i bet you could do that and somehow get a light to go through the etching. could look good, could look like crap.

this does look great when done right, but you would have to be perfect.

also, you have to be careful not to let your tool sit on the glass for too long, the glass will break and you wil need a new widow.
