So I have a two week window to work on my car, and a lot of stuff to do, missing some parts too. I found out my timing tensioner has frozen shut and so has my clutch slave cylinder (5sfe stock manual trans). Also the rear of my crank near the rear main seal has a lot of surface rust on it, so I'll be pulling off my rear main seal housing and getting the surface rust off so it doesn't rip up my new rear main seal.

PLEASE POST ANY AND ALL PICTURES OF GEN III 3sgte's in 6th gen celicas, please! I have a ton of parts, not enough screws, and a general idea of how to fit it all together.

Q1 Can I shave my stock 5sfe passenger side engine mount bracket so that it fits beneath the timing tensioner so I don't have to buy a gtfour one? Looks like it won't take much shaving off of only 1 of 3 bolt passageways on the mount bracket.

Q2 What goes in this gap in the timing covers? I don't have an alternator bracket yet.

Q3 What bracket is this? It was sent to me from someone a year ago that said it was an alternator bracket, but I can't get it to fit.

Q4 Have I ordered the right cooling parts for my engine? Oil filter cooler has two tubes that hang off and the metal heater tubes also have hoses that hang off. I need a good diagram or picture from someone showing the cooling hose hookups on the oil filter cooler. Also, I don't have the piece that the filter threads onto (arrow)

Okay starting with the bottom picture..i think what you are looking for is how to hook up the water lines. Here ya go, coolant flow diagram!

And with the second pic, well i dont know who lied to you, but that is not the altenator bracket. That bracket acutually (if you were looking at the front of the engine ) goes on the right hand side of the engine near the distributor. Dont know if you can see it, but look on the right hand side of the engine.

And for the first picture well the VERY FIRST ONE you posted up. The answer is also in the photo above..looks like you are still missing the altenator bracket with altenator.

Also dont know if you ordered it already but you will need the "HOSE FROM HELL" to connect the lower oil cooler line to the metal cooling line it connects to in the pic.

Part # and price for ya!
16282-88480 3SGTE..ST205 = and the price is around 9 bucks!

And also the parts you need to correctly install the oil cooler are below. Dont know if you have them or not, but nonetheless they are here for you..Might want to look in the BGB for pics on how they mount up...or you can look at this parts reference. Will have to find the part # below on your own with the parts ref. below. Although i will still provide them for you.

http://www.megazip.ru/ru/auto/toyota/view/...23/39262/367445

O-ring. Goes inbtwn the oil filter and the bracket ( the part that the oil filter bolts onto).
90301-56005 3SGTE..ST205 = 6.17

Looks like a crush washer, but nonetheless goes inbtwn the (oil cooler relife valve assy) and oil filter.
90210-22001 *** STD. PART = 4.84

Oil cooler relief valve assy
15690-65020 3SGTE..ST205 = 66.21

Awesome, this helps me tremendously! First off, I have two alternators, I'll keep whichever one has the better charge, just need a mount. Second, I always thought that bracket was too big, I'll definitely try to fit it to the back tomorrow. I still need an alternator bracket, anyone have a picture of one so I can go through my boxes of parts and see if I have one? Any o-rings that I need I'm getting them from napa, or dealer if I have to. And do you know if toyota uses any of those part numbers you showed me on any other vehicles? Like any USDM 3s's? Do you have a picture of this "hose from hell" I don't quite understand what it is.

No problem man we are here to help! And btw, the hose from hell is the hose that attatches from the lower-most outlet on your oil cooler, to the coolant line in the FLOW diagram i posted.
And also i am not sure if any of those part numbers can be found elsewhere kindasad.gif

These are from the 185 celica. Part number is in the pics. Dont know if they can be used vice-versa on the 205 though...Hopefully you get the jist though from these pics what this hose should look like.

cool, thanks man, I've already talked to Joel at toysport, I traded them a JDM transmission for a bunch of parts a long time ago and I think I still have a credit with him, he said for me to send him an email with everything I need and we'll go from there. I really hope I still have a credit with them. I've been working on it pretty solid the last couple days, got the engine out, putting parts on that I've had in boxes forever, and double checking everything before the final assembly and startup. Still gotta make the harness for the autronic, wire in all the sensors, and tune it. I plan on spending the next couple weeks working on it during the daytime in the back of manoa, if you are ever in the area shoot me a text. You still live in haleiwa?

yeah, that second picture's a little different than mine. Mine is just a hose that you put rubber over, that one looks like like you can just bolt in the other hose section.

I used to have a parts list for all of the parts that toyota uses on other engines that will fit the genIII 3s. I can't seem to find it, anyone have it or know what I'm talking about?
