These are just some of the lense options available using the clear pyrotech lenses
the other type of lenses which are in the old link pics are also still available (and in orange aswell)

these pics are using my new LED stop/tail bulbs and silvertech indicator bulb

like i posted on celica net
they come in shiny black special plastic which is specially made to take paint so no primer needed and easy to paint or you can just leave as they are smile.gif
but i chose to get mine colour coded
as far as shipping and cost goes e-mail dave on the QC website
though he did say he would do a group discount if there were a few orders
and would only charge one lot of shipping for everyone wink.gif

Im really thinking about getting these soon.

Question though, would it be possible to get the kit in clears, but also get the red and orange lenses too??

So that it would be possible to try different types?

if they dont get a minimum of 25 people to deposit 25 dollars, then they're not gonna get a discount...they need to lower the price cuz a lot of people wont buy it cuz its expensive

Haha very too bad I dont do that anymore smile.gif I went back to delivering pizzas, then hit a deer, so now I cant deliver pizzas anymore.

In other news.... I agree with the price drop also, maybe if they were two hundred something instead of three hundred something.

I dont think this should be more than the price for jdm's. I would buy them for like $200. I think that is fair.

i just think they'd make more of a profit if they lowered the price. people would buy em for like 250 shipped compared to 400 shipped...but i think it would equal out at the end.

The reason they are not cheap is because it costs thousands of dollars to produce such a kit
you are paying for the work and tooling involved

It's just like for example when you buy a blitz exaust which woul cost over $1000 (in the uk anyway not sure about US)
you think that it's stupidly overpriced, surley a bit of steel does not cost that more than $50 trade and labour not more than another $50
you would probably be right....

but why you pay so much is because of the cost of superior design that went to producing the prototype which costs thousands and then the thousands spent on the tooling and machines to produce that prototype so that more will be able to be made for the retail market etc etc..

with these lights for axample the cast alloy block of the prototype which the special plastic is moulded on that just by itself cost in the reigon of $4000
all in all imagine investing approx $30,000 to produce these lights and the risk you take for your business to produce this kit hoping that you sell enough to just break even before you even make a profit...
and you will understand why some aftermarket items cost so much money
aside for paying for the quality of the item and the materials to make it
you have to take into consideration the amount of research, time , labour etc.. involved to manufacture a retail item never done before.

another one, why are veilside kits so much more than say a cheap copy of exactley the same kit which retail's at a quater of the price of the veilside!!!
fibreglass which is stupidley cheap and moulds of fibreglasss cost peanuts
arn't they making a huge mark-up compared to other copy kits???
No because they were the first to produce them and they spent $$$$$$ developing, designing, making sure it fits perfectley etc... and they have to recoup that cost which reflects in the price of the retail kit
whereas copy company just buy a kit where all the work has allready been done
and take a mould of it and pour in some cheap fibreglass and voila.. they have a the same kit at a fraction of the cost...

Comprende people....

maybe now you understand a little about the price of these lights.... smile.gif

i understand that...but not many people are gonna buy this kit because its too expensive...if nobody buys it, then they're not gonna get any profit off of this...BUT if they were to lower the price and like 100 people buy the kit for a cheaper price...if u do the math, they'd make more money...business and marketing...comprende? smile.gif

p.s the reason why veilside kits are so expensive is because they guarentee perfect fitment and they are more durable than the other kits out there... and i got my whole body kit for around 500 dollars....398 for taillights is just a bit much...im not starting isht with you cuz i still appreciate the tails and everythin and i think they look cool...im just tryin to get my point across and to let u know why they only have like 15 deposits rather than 25 or more.

Those tail lights are hideous..........looks stoopid on the Celi to me. Does not flow with the car well. I like the JDM tails much much better. To think they can't come up with a better tail light idea than those circles.

Well i cant order them on the site can i ? There isnt a price on the site, it only says i can reserve a copy by depositing 20 pounds. And i agree with others, 400 dollars is a lot of money for a pair of taillights. I would pay 300 max (shipping included).

Personally I think JDM tails s**k a$$ compared to these. No matter how you look at it JDM is stock just not USDM. These are unique.

OK OK OK. now there has been a lot of contraversy over JDM vs. The Afterburners. I think in realism the afterburners have more of a Euro look to them where as JDM are just Japenese looking. I forked over the cash for the Afterburners so i will post a pic as soon as ther are installed. I have a Black Celi. So you will be able to tell as soon as they are on!!! Thanks,

the dials are by www.skewer.co.uk

in brushed aluminum with white digits that light up blue
and holographig cleica and GT logo's
the surrounded i painted myself with chrome effect paint

BTW. shogun kid as i said before I am NOT selling them, it is NOT my company

and what do you know how well they are selling didn't know you worked for quad conversions

hope it makes you feel better now that you have had your gloat and made sure everyone is aware of your distain for them

we got the message before you prefere JDM's thats fine

NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO BUY THESE

but you dont have to try to pursuade everyone else not to buy them...

Eliet, exactly what i said in the post i put on the Backfire lights thread.

Glad to know they're selling well in the Uk though Eliet.. lets see the response from Shogunkid when I post that the gearknobs are ready.

Like I said earlier I don't like JDM tails so I am going fork over the cash for some these. JDM tails are a dime a dozen, it seems that everyone on this site either has them or getting them. these lights will definately not cheap but I think its well worth it to be unique and might I say just bas ass. I know saying JDM tail stink is considered treason in the celica world but really the whole point of customizing a car is to stand out from the crowd am I right, yes I think I am and JDM tail just look stock to me and don't give me this bull about they look better at night well I have seen them at night and there isn't any differance.

cheers Ben

just read that thread now

what they seem to forget is .....thats life

i mean when we want a kit or induction kit thats only available in the US we have to fork out a fortune in shipping etc... twice what the yanks pay for it
and its the same anywhere if you want to import something from abroad
depending on the value of your currency compared to that of where your buying from will greatly affect the price

No doubt there will be a big moan about the gearknobs aswell
even though they look f****n ace

the tails are just too expensive. persoanlly i think the tails are ugly. they look like wannabe supra taillights. i dunno y sum ppl would want to buy them but if people liek them then its their business.

the thing i have to say is more sell requires lowering the price. $400, i rather buy performance parts

I don't know about bad ass. Maybe if you consider a piece of plastic with some lenses in it, that's a knock off inbred of a supra and skylines lights bad ass. I would have thought they could put a little more original design into them but hey. Also a little sceptical about them spending $30k on development.

You may not like my opinion and they may look alot like other tails from other cars BUT THEY SURE DO BEAT JMD TAILS BY MILES. I like them and that what matters now don't get me wrong I do wish there were some clears out there but there isn't any.
