Looking for JDM rear brake calipers... just the right rear or if selling in a set both the rears... Let me know. I will need instant shipping. Also if anyone can advise me the size of the banjo bolt that is used for the brake line it would be great as well so that maybe I can delay buying the whole caliper set for the time being.... Pm me or post on here please...

exactly whats wrong with your caliper? Well... Me and my buddies were installing new brake lines and while we were screwing in the banjo bolts. The drivers side rear caliper's threads ripped out... I think my buddy turned the bolt way too tight... But I'm not gonna argue... The point is that currently the brake fluid is leaking out of the line and well... You know what happens when there's no pressure in the lines... So I'm looking either the cheap way.. Finding longer/compatible banjo bolts to replace the ones that I currently have or go the expensive route and get new rear calipers altogether... If anyone can give me some advice to get around this problem in a cheap way please, the input will be greatly appreciated. - Dave |

can probably re-tap the threads and get a new bolt...or getting an insert installed. A machine shop or aviation repair place could do it and it probably wouldn't cost much, maybe 10-15min of work

A machine shop or aviation repair place could do it and it probably wouldn't cost much, maybe 10-15min of work This is what sucks... The brake lines I have are SWAGE LINE stainless steel lines. The lines can only fit the stock banjo bolt... There still is enough thread in the actual caliper to hold a bolt if it is 3/4 inch longer, thing is I dont know if I can find a longer bolt with same specs as the stock one... The insert idea may work only if they can match the stock bolt... I usually thought that there would be new banjo bolts that came with the actual brake lines but it seems as though I got jipped.... or at least thats how I feel as the rear piece of the line that you put the bolt into is about 1/16 of an inch thicker than spec... I will take your idea and see if I can find a machine shop that will do it for cheap... hopefully I do not have to turn to getting new calipers... AGAIN HOWEVER if there is anyone that can help me out with more advice it will be greatly appreciated... Or anyone that knows if anyone that is selling a JDM rear drivers side caliper separately... PLEASE PLEASE!!! I would love to be able to drive my baby again... ![]() - Dave |
