THIS WILL BE FOR INSTRUCTIONAL PURPOSE

So the idea of T-Tops hate it or love it

Ive read of the consequence not lookin for lextures on structural integrity guys como lets just talk about wheter its a cool idea or not
Lets forget about money and specifics of physics and focus on wheter it would be a cool look or not

I personally love the idea, and would give it something no one else has.
As far as practicality, and work involved (or money if ur rich ) I dont think its worth it.

hmm playr158 was on about something like this. Not so much a t top but a plug of some sort for his sunroof to cut weight...???

I think his car had a moonroof and he put a carbon fiber plug in the hole to save weight.

I say screw T Tops. If you're cutting your roof, go all the way for a Targa top.

1. get a convertible
2. get a wrecked coupe..


the convertible body is already reinforced, its a no brainer..

the coupe will need to have the rear or whole top roof cut off and reweld it into the vert..

then have fun and experiment whether you want a targa top or t-top... or a removable hard-top...

have fun expeimenting...

True but thats completely diff subject
So the plan is go to junkyard n find the donor mr2 or supra
Preferably one that comes with a support like in the first pics
To help with the structural issues
Then go to a place near my house where they do interior work
And deal with roofs all the time and hopefully find someone i can steal
A few ideaa from jajajajajajaj ok well ideas as to how much reinforcement
Would be needed and if my idea is good ok or jus bad lmao
sadly enough my fave junkyard is closed on saturdays for the summer so
Ill need to find a way to work around that

Unless someone has a list of junkyards within 50 miles of 02860
With confirmed mr2 ttop or supra ttop or targa with brace
That will let me actually look at the parts and possibly take it out
Myself before i have to pay for them car-parts does not help
As ive called and they ussually say they dont update that site

possible top as it looks like it molds to our glass not a good angle theres another one that has more of a curve

for number 1. why the heck would you really make something already invented, if you don't understand the meaning of the word "sarcasm" please look it up in a dictionary.. you can even look it up online...


for number 2. you need to put on your glasses, to help you read, as i cannot spell it out for you, who is talking about a hatch.. again read the definition of the word "coupe"

for number 3. he really understood my post, not as you... shame on you..



Dude, to make a targa top, you need a reinforced under body, go spend extra money reinforcing a hatch. A vert is already reinforced, from factory...

and im not talking about putting a hatch on a vert, that is very stupid,

im talking about making a Targa ot a T-top Coupe. Do i need to make a drawing? that will be the easiest option for you.... (using vert and coupe parts)

That is the closest you will get, without spending thousands of dollars....


You got two options a hatch and a coupe. Know the differences..

the vert is a coupe with the roof cut and reinforced underbody... That if you did not Know..

i dont care for nor want nor plan to get a coupe or a vert n if i did get a vert y o y o y would i give it a roof if i get a vert its cus its a vert a targa is very diff than a vert
6gc last time i cheked did not come targa therefore not inventing but innovating
furthermore age has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with it as i know 40 year olds that have no clue on how to buy a car or do some work to it but hey maybe my daughter can draw you a map so you can find where u stand lol THATs SARCASM!!!!
