ok, so I just got my 200 5mm LEDs in the mail today and they are bright, I tested one already. I'm going to make some LED tails for my celica coupe by cutting out the bulb holder and making a custom LED insert. The problem is, I'm still working on the engine swap in my car and I want to do my LED tails conversion at night while I'm in my house watching TV or something. I am still working on the electrical wiring on my car, mounting the battery in the trunk so I can run my turbo tubing, so I have no electrical setup in my car to where I can do this myself. What I need someone to do is turn on all of the tail lights and get a few evening pictures for me so I can imagine a LED shape design that fits the celica tail shape. I have to plot out how many bulbs I have and if I need to get more for this conversion. I will post a howto on this, so other people can do it too, I just need help from someone since I don't have a way to power up my tails right now. Thanks! details below
So what I am asking for in the picture is: COUPE TAILS COUPE TAIL COUPE TAILS, not hatchback an evening picture so it shows what the lights look like in the tail and I can still see shape of the tails one picture with the lights on: reverse, turns, running lights and another picture with the lights on: reverse, turns, brake and a picture with all lights off except brake and please please please no blurry light pictures, i need it clear I hope this isn't too specific..lol -------------------- -Jay

anyone willing to help? I just need three pictures. Or just one if you don't have time to take three pics. Just with all of the lights on the back on, I guess brake lights would be hard to do, so no brake lights in the picture if it's hard.

so nevermind on the pictures. Since no one will help me I'll figure something else out. I think I remember there being two running lights and two brake lights for each side of the car.
I have the circuit boards to solder the LED's to. And I have all of the LED's. I haven't pulled the tails off of the car yet. But I'm going to the next time I can make it over to the car so I can start on them at my house. I am thinking about 5 rows of 4 LED's for the outside brake/running light and 5 rows of 5 for the inside brake/running lights with the top inside corner rounded off. I have thought about following the early 2000's BMW tails design below. There are 4 rows of 4 lights for the led setup, and the left and right columns have a slight curve to them. I should be starting on this soon. The BMW tails have considerably larger LED's though. Maybe I'll keep the 5x4 design. I'll have to get wider circuit boards for the turn signals. ![]() -------------------- -Jay
