i have a 2nd gen 3sgte and an s54 trans. the cluster is usdm. nothing is reading on the speedometer or the odometer. everything else on the cluster works. i also verified that the cluster works.

i tried looking up the speed sensor on alldata... not much help. i need help! i was reading that there are two speed sensors? any tips that will get my odometer and speedometer to work will be appreciated!

Its just a wiring mistake on my part when I did the wiring harness for the car. A lot of people make the same mistake as I did when doing the harness because it the circuit is a bit tricky.
Do a search, I remember posting some detailed instructions on how it fix this in someones thread a while back.

There is only one speed sensor.

i say its just a bad speed sensor. those s54 sensor go out really easy ive had to replace two in the last 6 months on my 3sgte swap

well if memory serves, 2nd gen 3S-GTE's were matched up to a cable driven speedometer transmission. with your swap you would have to build the wiring from the electronic speed sensor to the harness for speed inputs.
