hello, my power door locks are acting funny, when i have the key in 2 position (engine off) and the door open, when i pull the exterior door handle, like im opening the door, the locks keep clicking like their trying to unlock it self and it'll do this until i take the key out of the ignition. if any one has had this issue please share your input. and also do the locks lock when you put the car in gear?? and i cant lock the car from the drivers door with the key but i can the passenger. why is that?? thanks.

Do you have an aftermarket alarm on the car?

Check the wiring. If someone hacked it up to install an alarm it might cause problems.

My issue is an odd 1 too.

I have to unlock and get in the pass side.
I can open the driver door using the inside handle only.
When the driver door is closed & someone tries to open it, it locks itself before the door can open.

I am thinking about opening the door then removing the neg battery cable for 2 mins.
IDK, just a thought since the door was open when I removed the cable last time.

Mine started acting up when I replaced burnt out gauge lights.
( 194s replaced old 194s )

not sure if its the same issue but sounds similar to a problem a while back on my mr2. the wires inside the door where they pass through the hinge had become worn and were grounding out. but my issue was opposite it would keep unlocking instead of locking

good luck
