New 5S time. A car-part.com search says only Celica 5S motors will fit, is that true? I need something complete and ready to go WITHOUT spending $700. PLEASE tell me 3G Cammy motors fit, I can get those CHEAP. My motor has a plethora of new parts, like timing components, water pump, and dizzy. I can swap all that over. It is just not worth it going through the trouble of pulling the motor to machine the block (apparently, my block is warped because my head was machined when I did the gasket).

Need quick answers, this motor is on borrowed time.

To my knowledge, the only difference between the Camry and Celica engines is a harmonic balancer in the Camry 5S. There might be wiring differences but if so, just reuse your Celica harness.

That's the answer I needed. I would need to reuse all my old sensors and such as I am obd2 anyways, but that saves me hundreds of dollars.

the Camry has a different crank shaft i think. it has a gear on it to drive the oil pump. but again im not really sure. i have only dealt with Celica 5S-FE engines.
