Just Curious my rear passenger side Caliper's piston it pushing slanted at an angle and wearing my pads unevenly, is it still possible to rebuild the caliper or would I be better off just buying a new Caliper???

I know you can buy rebuilt calibers a.k.a remanufactured. They have rebuild kits. Two. Also when do up know owwhento have your calipers rebuilt???

I wouldnt be able to tell you when, I just know its when your brakes arent working properly, Ive rebuilt Calipers before but Ive never had any where the piston was slanted so i just wondering if It would still be good to rebuild, Plus buying a rebuild kit is alot cheaper than remanufactured calipers

Are you sure the piston is sliding slanted or are the slides frozen and it's just conforming to the angle of how far it can move the slides? As long as the inside walls of the caliper aren't damaged, you can put a new piston in, new seals and rebuild it. If the walls are shaved down and the piston bent them, then no.

If the walls are shaved down and the piston bent them, then no. yeah ive tested it out to see what was causing the slant, the slides seem fine and the piston is rising at a slight angle instead of straight like it normally should be so I guess I just gotta take it apart and see if thats happened then, thanks for the advice |
