where can i buy an hid kit for my 1995 celica st? can i still use the stock low beams or do i need to buy projectors? know any sites? also if anybody has offers on some they dont use please list them too.

Dmm Tuning, you are looking for 35 watt 9006s...the temperature just depends on what color you want the light to be..


The common consensus is that for HIDs projectors are preferred to give a good light cutoff, but the beam pattern is not terrible if you put them in the OEM lights(I run them). Projectors are just not worth the $800 for these cars IMO.

I have 4 of the 55w DDM tuning ones, in hella 4000 lenses for my auxiliary lighting. They look to be good quality for the price.

i heard some issues with the 55w kits because the wire gauge cannot handle

You sure it's the wire gauge? Input to each ballast is less than 5 amps which is pretty small. If you're talking about the cars wiring harness (not the ballast harness) due to the sum of all the lights, then yeah maybe. I have mine wired right from the battery via my own relays though.

i've had a 55W kit go bad on me. i had to get my projectors refinished (electroplated) and it wasn't cheap.
the kit i had may have had poor wire insulators that couldn't handle the heat. either that, or the metal used for the wires were poor conductors & generated too much heat.
