The stock cup holders for our cars are kind of annoying when you want to shift. is there any aftermarket cup holders that are actually useful? right now i just put my mcdonalds cups in between the passenger seat and the center console, it doesnt work very well. mad.gif

12oz cans and bottles of water will fit in the center console under the arm rest if you cut two holes and fit cup holders into it. I'll look for a pic if you want it.

If I have something that is in a bottle I put it right next to my right hip, behind the seatbelt. If you sit in the seat and try it you'll know what I am talking about. Works perfect for me.

I came up with a design where the cup holder sits behind the center console. I'll post up pics tomorrow. It's very useful and still possible to get your drink out.

LOL yea, lets all take laziness to another level. yea but its true its just right there anyway might as well make the long straw.

Doesnt the location screw how your legs move between the pedals? Just dont try to get out the car with a jumbo drink still there.

infront of the gear selector???

There is was an optional armrest which had the cupholders at the back (Giving the driver enough room to shift)

Clean, out of the way, and I never use my rear ashtray anyways so it's perfect. I can also still reach it from the front easily.

that looks like it would replace the little pocket next to where the cig lighter goes same shape size and were the screws are probably as bad if not worse spot than the regular cup holders since it'll probably block your shifter tho it wouldn't get in the way of your arm

yea it does look like the little pocket, dunno if there would be clearance issues with the shifter on 5th.
