Hey everyone,
Recently i had been hearing some heavy knocking from the front and clicking sounds from the right front wheel and have no clue now what it is.
At first i thought the sounds were a result of needing front end parts as ALL my parts were worn till it was the metal rubbing the bolts holding them.

I have since, changed all the parts from strut mounts to banana arms and now the heavy knocking is gone, but the clicking is still there (only while driving straight and increases in frequency as i accelerate and one loud clack when i initially apply brakes). So i imagined it was my cv joints gone bad, so i did all the tricks to test em, (full lock left and right while i reverse) and got no issues, so i assume no problems there.....

i then jacked up the right side, turned the wheel with my hands and the clicking is noticed...took out my brake pads and turned more and the sound is gone......don't wanna say warped rotors so please someone tell me what they thinking...

Thanks,
Stefan

rotors you can tell, cus they normally come with vibration while braking. check if there is something on the caliper sticking out or could make the sound. is the clicking sound from the pads, where is it coming from from your last sentence. how does the wear on the brake pads look? did the sound return when you put back the brake pads?

took of the pas and wiped em and stuff, cleaned my calipers and put the pads back in.......i noticed a nice lip on my rotors tho, so i'll skim them and see what happens.

Hey mate. Do you still have the clicking sound again? Do you feel the wheels or any of them move or vibrate the same time you brake suddently and you hear the sound? I have the same problem and they told me was the lower arms and the crossmember. I noticed in your post that you changed the lower arms and you still have the sound so i was wondering if maybe was the crossmember smile.gif
Id like to hear an update from you.
Thanks mate smile.gif

I did get some small vibrations and sometimes got one loud click/clunk. and if i tried to tap on the brakes each time i can repeat that sound.....when i outfitted the new suspension the crossmember felt very sturdy, i wonder what the problem could be there. i still havent skimmed my rotors (big lip) or changed my old pads (non genuine) yet so...this weekend for sure....then i can happily say whether it helped or not.

do you hear it when you turn? could be wheel bearings? jack up the car and try to shake the tires left or right and up and down if you have play it could be that. Or it could be a bad hub, might not be that but ive had to replace my hub twice because it had play.

is the wheel spining freely? do you hear it from the hub bearing. dont think its the axles cus you spun it in the air without turning, unless you can definitely hear it from the axles.

Got the rotors skimmed and put on the new genuine pads....no more sounds!!!
Right now something else is up so i cant drive hard to check for vibrations....apparently there is some faulty wiring somewhere that is affecting my car. i hit the brake and my boost gauge (in console) goes up....i crank my engine and my speedo needle shakes between 0-60 km before starting and even my fuel pump isnt pumping properly (at WOT afr hits up to 17)...so now i gotta figure this out before i can drive hard to check braking from speed....
