Driveshaft
rear subframe Rear axles St205 gt4 gas tank Complete rear suspension ... everything in order to convert my 97 st to the gt4 rear end. I am willing to pay up to $1000 shipped for all of said items. I found a front clip for 3200 shipped but it doesn't include driveshaft back. I'm willing to do only around 1k shipped because I really like the condition of the front end I found but if no one has the parts mentioned above then I am going to have to buy a different front clip with rear end included for 4200 shipped. Help a fellow 6g owner out please! |

The silence should tell you no....
Most people don't do the conversion... Those that do know how hard it is to get parts and therefore have a.couple of spares they aren't selling. If you're worried about $1000 investment then you might want to reconsider the undertaking. You'll spend 8k+ by the time you finish. Good luck in finding parts, srk (rpm garage)/ebay/ebay uk are your best bets... And it'll cost you. Spend the $ and buy the 4200 dollar car..... I figured no one really has these parts but worth a shot. The front clip I want has a trd steering wheel. Which is the only reason why I want it lol. Other than that I might just have to go with the 4200 front. I found drive shaft back but he wants to ship greyhound for cost reasons.
How does shipping greyhound work? Do I get a tracking number? |

Btw... I know this will be a costly build. I'm up for the challenge. 1k is nothing I really worry about. Its just why should I pay more for something when I could buy the samething cheaper?
When I finally get everything together... I might do a build thread if I don't get too lazy lol. |

dunno about tracking numbers.... it'll take longer, but shipping costs are about 1/2

How does rpmgarage work? They said they only ship to nearedt port. How do you set it up to where a shipping company will pick it up.from the port and to.my house? I never dealt with over seas ordering before. On the side note... what about customs? I know you have to pay extra for customs to.check it through.
Sorry about the misc periods. My girl must be pmsing lol |

They ship to the port, then you have to pay for it to go through customs, and the you have to pay to have it shipped to your house. expect anothe 800 - 1k to get through both of those steps. It costs to have someone take care of that for you. it's a pain. make sure you study up on it and ask a lot of questions to the right people.... some other people on here with more experience than I should be able to chime in wiht exact information. -------------------- ![]() |

That's another reason why I wanted the front clip with trd steering wheel... customs is already included in the price. Plus it will come straight to my house. I've ordered through them before for my long gone fc series 5. Did a turboII swap to it. But back to topic.... let's say if I wanted to do timing belt, head gasket and water pump on the 3sg te. I can i use the mr2 3sgte parts?

I bought a gt4 driveshaft from RPM garage. It was shipped direct to my house.
Also, the GT4 gas tank doesnt really fit unless you get the entire back 1/3rd of the unibody. You could 'make' it fit, but why go to the trouble when there are cheaper/better options. -------------------- -93 Rx7, Turbo 6.1L v8, 725rwhp/760rwtq

The gas tank I have figured out. I just hope I never get a flat tire lol. I will be cutting out the spare tire compartment to fit either a fuel cell or the gt4 tank. All it will take is a sawsall grinder and welder lol.
I have been looking at your pictures and build thread closely. It doesn't seem like there's enough headaches for me to not finish an awd conversion. I may be new to toyota but not new to the car scene. Plus I'm jealous you have an awd celica lol. Don't they say you have to get a shipping company to ship it from port since they r in hong kong? And how did customs work out? |
