IMO it's not overpriced at all, first owner or not.. Still looks clean. If the car rides good then the price is more than fair.

Well, assuming it's in very good condition with the current mileage...

ST: $2,035

GT: $2,160

That's private seller prices. So yes, over priced would be an understatement. Hell, let's go as far to say it's in excellent condition so...

ST: $2,210

GT: $2,335

^^ $2100 is being nice...no more than $2000 with the car being smogged and tagged and have it sign over as a gift on the pink.

Think that might be closer due to low mileage, still the sunroof doesn't work and the clutch needs replaced.

That's cheap!? Holy Hell, I'm moving my car to Ohio to sell it. I only paid $2,300 for mine and that included new tires, new timing kit, new struts, new Tein springs, and new pads/shoes all within the last 5,000 miles. Body and interior in good shape too. Then again it was from my uncle, so I got it for what he had in it. tongue.gif

Guess I should have been more clear
I ment as cheap as you guys were saying
Couldn't find a 6gc vert but they are normally 4000+ if its clean

I paid 2500 for my coupe with 177,000 on it an it was a deal then lol

These were a few of the clean ones that I just found there were some others then a few rust buckets

Gosh! In Spain anything over 2000euros is really expensive for a 6th gen! Not worth painting mine, I do it cos I love it.

well in america lol, when people sells cars on craigslist they usually knock it up abot 500-1000 more than what they really wouuld take. so negotiate with him. usually they will come down on the price.

I can already tell it's going to need a paint job. Yellow is the worst color for longevity...

That alone shoots up immediate repairs needed to be done, and the 145k on the engine is well more than mine had when I purchased mine. And I paid less than that, and it was a GT.

Btw, mine was about 120k and I had a lot of repairs, including clutch, engine fans, radiator etc. BE SURE TO CHECK ALL THESE WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE CAR as they probably need to be replaced.

But yeah, if he's firm on 3500, I'd walk.

Well, after seeing this, heed my warning: don't buy a 6gc in puerto rico, the classifieds i saw 5 celicas between 4500-6000 range. Puerto ricans usually think they have gold in their hand's and sell cars here very expensive, hell, i found a 1981 mitsubishi champ for 1600, total insanity.

damn!!! yeah when i bought my celica i would always talk about how 6gc are notorious for oil leaks, and point out alot of other things that usually need replacing and try to lower the price. If they have body damage that you can just replace the whole piece or electrical i explain to them that 6gc's are rare at junk yards and its not as easy as it looks to fix them up so usually i can get them down there as well. If i were you, i would give him like 2500, explain to him that its a 94 celica, it probably goes through a quart of oil every week at the most, and pick apart whatever you can! ive done that and had 5 celicas in the past year, all cheaper than 2000 smile.gif

oh yeah, check the suspension, struts, brakes, everything you can negotiate on.
