I didn't make it since I wasn't sure if that drift event/car show was going to be the spring meet. I'd say April, March is pretty cold still and may is too close to the summer.

I say may. Hopefully by then I'm hired in and can make a trip out and celebrate our anniversary. Plus it gives Kurt more time to work on the Celica.

April is gonna be tough for us. The Dragon run is the weekend of the 26th, and we usually leave the Friday before, so both the 20-21 and 27-28 are out for us.

I'll be in Florida from march 9th to the 19th, so the two middle weekends are out for me of that month. maybe a may meet would be better, that way it wont be freezing like last year.

Instead of a Spring, Summer, and Fall meet, we could always just do a May meet and a Summer/Fall meet. I've got 48 hours of vacation time to burn up before sometime in April, so I'm good for any date we end up setting.

Can we go hiking this time no matter what, please? smile.gif
I can bring a grill with gas this time if needed.

*But I also am thinking the "Fall" meet needs to be in Chicago or someplace beside Starved Rock?

I think peewee has made it to be our little Celica man. Kurt has one of the calendars hanging up in our kitchen and the other day he asked me where daddy was. I told him out in the garage getting a part off the car (yellow celica) and he turned and looked at me and said so he can make it like that celica.... lol pointing at the calendar .... i couldnt stop laughing but i managed to get out " yeah bub just like that one".

Little difficult to do since she's gotta be in her ceremony and at her party. I think people might wonder why they were there if she weren't

Somehow I doubt that would go over well, or at all, seeing as a lot of them are middle aged people who don't share our interest in cars.

The Celica isn't just a car, it's a Celica! I suppose you're off the hook for this meet but you owe double attendance at the next one!

Trust me I'm pissed I really want to be there. So does Sam since she was sick for the last meet, that's why I chimed in right away when April came up about when we wouldn't be available. I would have said the same thing here but so many of you guys are already able/available by the time I got to the thread again it was too late to chime in and be like 'how about this instead' because that would just be rude. I can't let my sister down though, Sam and I are the only 2 family members she invited so we have to be there. We will do everything we can to be at the next one.

Is anyone going to the meet looking for a shifter boot? If so I can get them made up and bring them with me and. Since they will be delivered they will be $14 instead of $17 for shipping... lol I do have one made up now with a light grey stitching.

Along with his grad I was thinking too that if we do it on memorial day weekend most people will have that Monday off so it gives us more time to enjoy the weekend. It will also be nice for our anniversary lol just happens to be on the 24th. I love making plans to do a bunch of stuff even if it's not originally the plan...lol

I'd rather have more people come so a later date is fine with me.

We'd be out 1st and 2nd weekend of June, too. Concert in Milwaukee and Sam's birthday.

Whatever you guys decide if we can make it work, we will otherwise no worries at this point. Once it gets into the hotter weather we get busy pretty quickly.

Bringing a mustang to a winding road with tight hairpins is like bringing a bazooka to a target shooting competition.

BTW, those new mustangs look fantastic!

Just kidding, I'll probably get flamed for this, but I like where Ford is heading as a company. And I totally want an F150 Raptor. Don't tell Brigette.

Thread derailment time!

I'm not a truck person either, but the Raptors are sweet. Have you seen the Hennessy-tuned Velociraptors? I'd rock one.

http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/62raptor800.html

However, can they tow a space shuttle?

Probably, because 810 hp is awesome.

Back on topic. Carry on.

^^^ Don't get me started on that. Personally I hate that commercial.

Why's that? I personally found it entertaining. If a Tundra can pull a space shuttle, then odds are a Ford and Chevy can too, and the diesels certainly could. But it doesn't matter because Toyota thought of it first and it made a cool commercial. I would've been impressed with any brand of truck towing 292,000 pounds.

Enough truck talk! About the meet, are we wanting to go hiking again? Dinner afterwards?

What you said is very true I was just going off my first impressions of seeing the commercial when it first aired.

Hiking is a yes! As for dinner... I don't know of any places around. At least this time I don't feel like going to Chicago for dinner. But time may change and it all depends on where we eat too.
