Has anyone tried this in the 6GC community? Been thinking about it for a very long time, and I think it would be looking really really good.

This is the audi rear lights

Thinking of buying a pair of red bendable tube lights, open the tail lights, cut around on the inside to make the tube fit well, put them back together and figure out the wiring and stuff

What do you think?

There's a video on youtube somewhere. Where a guy took the lens off the jdm ones and sanded them down in a circle form and had a circle led fitted into it. So when he brakes. You'll see circle leds. It looked clean.

How exactly around you going to arrange the tubes? Because the tails have like 4 different sections for each bulbs.

I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Is the lens transparent in that part? If it's not it will distort the light, creating not that much of a nice straight line.

Sounds like a cool plan..... if you are going to do it I'd go all in though.... take off the lens, clear off all the innards, sand it down and chrome or black out the back, lay out your light tubes and custom fit some clear plastic lenses.... would look awesome smile.gif

Edit: I don't think the photoshop would work anyway, unfortunately, because that is the area that seals the front of the lens to the light housing... there would be no room left there even if it was transparent there.

I'm not as keen on the last design, but it would be different, and very easy to do using EL wire smile.gif

I agree on the last part... Personally I like the last design the best... Can probably come up with a few more later though ^^
