Only 20mm wide and is going to look subtle like OEM.

Why only 20mm??? Well here's an explanation from the GT4OC.
"There are several major benefits to this, for many people the main benefit would be fatter looks - but thats not the only thing. In stock form the rear arches have space to take much wider or bigger offset wheels than the fronts, with a 4wd system you really want to run the same width wheels all round so most people resort to running spacers on the rear to make it look better with the deep rear arches. The problem with this is that the rear track width is deliberately narrower than the front on the GT4 in order to help counter understeer, by making the rear track wider without similar increases on the front you will be increasing the car's understeer tendencies. This might not be noticeable on the road to many but if you start pushing it hard on track it can be seen alot more. Also there is the added benefit of removing a little weight from the heavy front end of the car (every little helps!), and replacing your rusty and dinged original wings with mint new ones.

Obviously the other great benefit is it will means a whole load more choice of wheels becomes available, so anyone with dreams of 10" deep dish JDM bling could be in luck."

So here's how we being.
First off we make a template using replica arches fixed exactly 20mide from the top edge of the arches.
Notice how these replica arches have the lines to retain continuity.

As you can see it's very subtle yet significant

Next off after I've sealed the arches with masking tape to ensure no leaks I'll start with the expanding foam.
TBC...

Subscribed. I may be in the market for these if you decide to mass produce.

This is being done as there is a demand for the GT4's to balance it's stance with it's rears.
They will be going into production next week.

Anyway here's the fun part with 2 part expanding poli foam. (Not the one's in the can)
So I started by sealing the gaps with masking tape to try to contain as much liquid foam as I can.
Otherwise it'll just leak out and go all over the floor before it expands.

2 part foam. This allows me to control the expansion and bubble density rate. There is a secret to proportional mix and also timing as to when to pour for different stages.

These two tape strips prevent the guided arches from pulling out any further when the foam expands. Without them, you'll have uneven widths.

Dont worry about making a mess

After the first filling had fully set, I can then remove the supporting tape and start the build up as high as I can for the blending.
Small layer by layer is built on top of each other.

once that's done and set after an hour or so, I started the rough carving

Then using 80 grit and sanding block, I started taking it back to get a smooth curve.

The foam needs to be taken back a few mm's more or deeper then what you initially want. This is because of 2 things.
1: Fibreglass filler is needed to be applied before fine filler so you can't have any foam being exposed.
2. The filler work wont happen till tomorrow because the foam may still expand.

As you can see I'm going for a subtle OEM look. Already it's looking more like a match with the rear arches.
Over the next few days I'll be doing lots of filler work skimming over and over again till it's even on both sides.
Once done, I'll quick prime it and smooth it down. Then we'll start with the composite moulds for mass production.
ETA on this wide front arches will be another 2 weeks.

Again, I love that you're putting out such a quality product for such a niche market - truly an enthusiast. I say so especially since you're letting us through the process of creation.

Where's the like button? I've got zero offset wheels which fit perfect in the rears but up front I had to do fender fenessing to get them to work as well as some pulling. These might do well for me.

Thanks

These are not add ons but actual front fender replacements.
Many are rusty and battered so you just remove and replace with these wide onese as they fit the same.
In face the ones kn my car now which im working on are fibreglass ones we currently sell.

Wouldn't it be more cost effective to have them as add-ons? I mean, shipping is going to be a major killer for anyone that is interested + the price of the actual parts.

Very very interesting, so you will made entire fenders?
If so why don't you think also if could be possible to integrate "fender side vent"?
I say so because only a few are available and nothing really beautiful.
Instead I'd like to see something elegant like nissan gtr

or opel gt (saturn sky)

or jaguar xk or cf concept

wide arches + side vent = would be amazing <3

Yes postage will cost more but an enitire fender is better then add on.
With add on youll still have the origional arch which will catch when you space the wheels out or have it lowered.

We have thought about vents butnits too much of a hit and miss in choice so we decided against it. Being made of fibreglass you can always blend your own on easily.

So I've been doing the blending on my lunches over the past 2 days. Its starting to take shape and doing my best to keep the origional lines of the celica.

Still need to do some more filler work with a finer grade then finish it off by hand before priming it.

ATTENTION, be careful to put the right volume addiction in the zone where skirts should be (both original or bigger "tuning" ones), or it could happens mounting error of skirts

Wayyyyy ahead of you buddy.
Ive thought that through and the widening doesnt start until above the line of where the most common TRD or 404 skirts start. Same with the front with spats, C one lip or C one and varis bumper.
So none of those will be effected.

That picture looks a bit photoshopped. Either that or they blended in the bumper with the arches.
But you can see the line of which the front lip starts in the front wheel arch is of the same height as C one and Varis.

Yes, they seem to be at the same height. Good!
However, here a less photoshopped pic of Eurou type 2 skirts!

I did this on my last celi (the white one)and though small it made the car look much more aggressive. I used the chrome fender trim an molded them in I used fiberglass ones for the back.

Great work

funny enough I bought those chrome fender extensions too. But then returned it because i didn't think they where worth it and also i didn't think it'll have the original look effect I wanted.
Anyway I should be getting the first pair sent back to me early next week so I'm pretty excited to see how they turn out.

Here it is fitted.
They are not prepped, filled or sanded down at all. All of which will need to be done for this to look perfect and well aligned by a body shop who knows what they are doing.
Only 1 bolt holding the wings down on top for the purpose of the test fit.

I am happy with the results and production will commence next week.

Wow thats really nice work.
Even unprepped and in black (hard to see lines) it still looks like a really nice subtle enhancement to the car's lines and allows for a little more of the gripy stuff!

Thanks guys.
This and next week I'll be doing so overtime with my staff getting ready for a respray. Hopefully have some finished pics before end of the month.

Chacha. These are going into production next week and I'm making a batch for the first GB.
Once they're done I'll PM you about what you want to order.
You do need to drill out your own holes and indicator holes but we've left markings as to where it is so you can either leave them flushed (for US 6G) or drill it out if you want to mount the side repeaters.

Ive extended the stock tabs inside so hopefully it should but Im pretty sure it's going to have a gap between the arch and lining.
Its something we'll have to play around with TBH.
Haven't had much time to do the prep work in my car and having a hard time cutting the rear quarter windows out too.
