Is there a way to disconnect all the bulbs further back in the wiring so I can pop them all into the tail light itself away from the car, and then reconnect the wire? Maybe a dumb question, but it's kind of tricky trying to hold the actual tail light unit while trying to twist all the bulbs in. I did not see an area where all the wire came into one lead for me to disconnect, but thought I would see if anyone knew. Thanks

It's about 6 inches from where it goes into the car. It's is pretty easy to get to. You just need to remove some of the trunk plastics. |

Thanks, that is a big help. Is it just a single snap connection at one point?

Yeah it's just one plug per side.

Yeah it's just one plug per side. Thanks Rivs. I am not at the car right now where I've got it taken apart, but is the connection right behind both side panels, and do you remember what color they are? Once disconnected, I can take the whole tail light unit out , bulbs and all, right? |

Yeah you'll be able to pull the whole light out. Just the rubber grommets on the wire will be left. I believe the connector was white.

Thanks Rivs. Hopefully getting out to the car today to finish up. I remember the opening for the wires to be pretty small. How do you get the wires/connector out through it?

Thanks Rivs. I am guessing that the grommet goes back in pretty easily, and stays put afterwards.
