It depends on how many mile are on it, how hard you drive it, you could have a leak. There are a few things that can cause you to consume oil. Give us some info on how you drive it.

..many Toyota Car from 1993 to 1998 take oil.
My ST have taken 1liter/850Km... I rebuilt the motor... The ring of the piston was glue... I think you should rebuild the motor OR try to change the ECR Valve( I not sure this the good name....but it's place on the top of the motor..)It's a little valve that should cost you 10-15$US to change |

do you mean the PCV valve? once oil is leaking throught there it is usually piston/ring related. a rebuild will be in the near future. |

There's only 5 ways it can use oil, 1 - past worn rings 2 - past the valve seals 3 - leaks (gaskets or seals or damaged oil pan etc) 4 - sucked thru bad PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve 5 - bad cylinder head gasket leaking oil into coolant or cylinder. these are not in any particular order, I would start with the PCV and checking for leaks (may be other odd/rare ways, like cracked head or block, but we don't want to thinkl about those) |
