I seen my celica was leaking oil at work the other day and i looked around and thought it was the oil pan gasket since it was wet looked like it was leaking there. I went a head and replaced it. Well today im back at work and noticed it leaking again but dont know where it is from. To help where the location of the oil is dripping from is right behind the oil pan or to the right of the oil pan now. Any ideas?

Also another problem that started is the idle. It was at a constant 3k now it is fluctuating from 1k-3k quickly. Any reasons for that also?

Mind you i just got this celica a couple days ago, more than likely going to take the motor out

what did you replace the gasket with? there is no oil pan gasket, its supposed to be sealed with FIPG (like RTV) the leak could also be the PS pump, they are known to leak

There actually is a oil pan gasket, it can either be sealed with FIPG (like RTV) or a regular gasket made specially for that oil pan, i have used it on all my celica's and never once had a problem or leak from it. But yes im going to check out the power steering pump when i get home. I was thinking of using that UV dye to see where the leak is actually coming from. I do not feel any difference in my steering when i drive tho.

Not uncommon for the car to leak from the oil pump seal.

After completely cleaning the area it was oil pump seal, thanks for pointing that out. Now time to figure out this idling issue

First suspect in idle issues is a sticky IACV (intake air control valve). Otherwise, start looking for vacuum leaks.
