sounds like u need coil overs than.. springs give you 1.5 and some say they get lower over time.
do you really need to get springs? if so what did u get that you happen to not like? -------------------- ![]() |

Suppose the real question is what springs did you buy?

There's your problem, that's more or less along the lines of the garbage on eBay. Hopefully you can return them and get your money back and then buy some real springs from Tein or some other name brand.

![]() That's my car on Tein springs as suggested by box. I will also add, I lowered mine with the springs, and my passenger front shock bottoms out really easily. It was probably already dying before I lowered the car, but lowering it has killed it completely. If you keep the stock shocks they will be blown in no time, then you'll be up for x4 new shocks on top of the springs. Also, I don't think this is related to it being lowered but my top bearings are also now shot, they didn't make any noise before lowering and straight after lowering they started creaking and clunking... Well I hops it's the bearings... Not sure about over there, but here in Australia the difference between coil overs and springs+shocks is only $200-300. Coil overs also them give full dampening and height customisation, well making up for that extra outlay. -------------------- ![]() ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

Over here the Megan EZ Street isn't much more than a set of new springs, struts, and mounts. So that might be another option.

Can U send me some links for the coilovers please I was looking in ebay but they are like $1,000 that's why I was looking for some lowering spring so it would be cheaper.

Lowering springs if you shop around are still around $200 cheaper, but if you want to drop more than 1.5" coil-overs are the only way to go. Here's the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Megan-Racing-EZ-Co...952&vxp=mtr
Can even try the best offer to save more money. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Approximated Lowering Rate: Approximately 2" Front & 1.75" Rear
Getting real springs or not.. He is not going to get any lower. Hate to see you buy another set and get the same height.. Buying tein or anyother brand will only improve the feel of the car.. Not much difference in the height.. Coilovers FTW.. -------------------- ![]() |

The problem lies within the fact the cheap springs didn't do what they were supposed to, even the 1.5" drop with the Tein springs is definitely noticeable.

The back looks is lower then the front but thats still the same as factory (rims were taking didnt like them too fat ,now back on steelies) First off.. Nasty set up.. that set up i would def get coil overs man.. You will never get it perfect with springs.. Cheapest coilovers are EZ Streets.. $699 <BUT BEST OFFER can be used.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Megan-Racing-EZ-Co...952&vxp=mtr The Megan EZ Coilovers come with springs and struts so install is tits.. If you already got new struts you can try to find just the Coil over sleeves and springs.. but they are hard to come by. Search Ebay my friend..! -------------------- ![]() |

![]() Did you install the front springs in the rear and rears in the front? Because my teins lower the front more than the rear but both Are very noticeable. -------------------- ![]() ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

no problem. yeah, I had a set of TRD springs I was gonna put on but ended up selling those to fund these since springs + new struts + strut mounts and whatever else adds up to just a little bit less than the coilovers.

if you are just doing springs and struts then go with KYB GR2s. most members on here that run springs use them.

sorry for late reply i didnt see that u replied back. But what would be some good lowering struts to get? KYB 2GRs, got them on my Eibach Sportlines. 1.5" drop front and rear, but it seems to have leveled the GT out, the front sat a little higher than the rear on OEM springs and struts. |

^yup.
pair the KYB GR2s with Eibachs, TRDs, or TEINs. They all give relatively the same drop. -------------------- ![]() *1997 Celica ST - 3SGE Greytop BEAMS *1977 Celica RA29 - Classic Cruiser *2005 Matrix AWD - dedded but still hanging around like a ghost 2019 Rav4 XLE Premium - Sports mode is fun. |

sorry for late reply i didnt see that u replied back. But what would be some good lowering struts to get? I live in the city where we have terrible pot holes and silly speed bumps. I'm actually about to change my KYB GR2 struts with Tein lowering springs to the Megan EZ Street coilovers because I heard so many good things about them. I have enjoyed my time with the KYB struts and Teins but it's just too low of a setup where I'm at for the harsh winters. The cool part with the coilovers is I can adjust them. ![]() My old suspension is slightly used, so it will be for sale soon if you're interested. |

It's really hard to tell the difference in height with a staggered setup of a FWD car. Those rear tires are excessively larger than the front.

Just a heads up, a coilover setup at the highest setting, will probably still be lower than a stock Height. The tien Springs aren't a huge drop, so you may or may no be able to ride higher on the coilovers. Hopefully you looked into that. -------------------- -Protection mode, For when your amp tries to blow its load. 1995 Toyota Celica GTS - Daily Driver 1999 Chevy Cavalier - Winter Beater 1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Dead My Celica! |

If the tein springs are the same as mine, then you will notice the difference, but it may not be enough for you, personally the rear still sits a little to high fro my liking.

Yea I thought I heard the ez coilovers could be as high as the stock height but I haven't really looked into it myself. I guess I'll have to find out lol |
