Ok I have a question. I have been searching the web for a steering wheel adaptor for a 95 celica. My air bag is messed up so I figured lets get a Momo. But to install it I need a hub adaptor I guess?????
Does anyone have any ideas, maybe where I can get one or if I really need one? Also does anyone know the brand of the steering wheels used in 2 fast 2 furious in the skyline, or the Eclipse? Thanks Jason ![]() |

Are aftermarket steering wheels illegal for street use?

If you plan on getting a momo wheel, you will definately need a hub adaptor. You can find them on ebay for roughly $65. An aftermarket wheel is perfectly legal for street use, but the fact that you no longer have a drivers side airbag will make your insurance go up a bit (but what the insurance company doesn't know won't hurt them

If you get in a wreck...make sure you swap the steering wheel back to the OEM one. LOL

to my knowledge, here in California, if your car is equiped with driver side airbag, eliminating it is illegal.
but i'm not one to do what the las says here in california, so, meh. the way i see it, if it's considered illegal, that just gives me more of a reason to do it. |

It can be rewired. I'm planning on doing it if I ever get around to changing wheels. |
