well so i painted my interior with chrome paint, the one at pep boys which youpaint the bumpers with. its better than i expected. i really like the color, although it doent look like the metal chrome, but it still looks elegant.

well i only painted my door handles and the air vents on top. i dunno how to take the right air vent out, the passenger side air vent thats facing towards you (not the one on top). i can take every other air vent except for that. i dunno i try to pop it open but it just doesnt seems to work. how do you guys take it out???

after you guys paint, do you put clear coats on?? i tried putting clear coats but it messes up my chrome paint, maybe its not meant for chrome paints.

the paint looks good but then i have to be careful with the scracthes. does clear coat work as a scracth preventer?? do i have to put like primers or something to prevent scracthes??

I just posted the other day about the right air vent. It's simply a matter of putting a flathead at the top center of the vent and popping out the clips. Then it's just some pulling and it should come out.
As far as painting, I'm not sure about the chrome paint, but I just painted 18 pieces in Duplicolor charcoal silver. The key to a successful paint job is the prep work and not going overboard with heavy coats.
As far as clear coat goes, it definately protects from scratches and gives the pieces a nice shine.
Priming isn't going to protect from scratches but it will give the paint a solid, even finish. Just experiment on some small pieces (like the plastic pieces that cover the bolts to your seat brackets) until you find something to your liking. Good Luck.

damn i took it out, but i broke the bottom plastic piece and prob sum couple other lilttle peices.

damn it i dont think clear coat is gonna work for mine. i dont know, i got the bumper chrome paint and engine clear coat. i dont think different applicantions for the paint matters, but it really bothers me knowing that scracthes might occur.

i dont know, arggggg. now i just thinking i shouldnt paint it the first place...... but it does look nice, cept i dont know if any clear coat will work with the chrome paint.....

Get some pics. I love our cars w/ painted interiors. I did mine in a dark marble metallic green.

Word to the wise, dont use clear coat over a chrome type paint, it looses its shine, and dulls out to a swirl...
