Check out Tigawoods project thread, he probably has/had the most built 5S I can think of. He's gone on to a BEAMS though, but hasn't had time to offer a good comparison. You might look around the MR2 forums as they're more likely to try and squeeze power from the 5S. Of course the general consensus is that you're better of swapping all things considered.

i cant see how you can make any more than about 160 HP with just internal mods and bolt-ons. the 5S-FE is really not a performance engine, you need some sort of forced induction to get power out of it.
It does respond to turbo well but you need good engine management. i see you are in CA, the real only way to have more power is to swap in a V6 -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo
