i was just wanting to let everyone that has a Celica ST know that you have the same engine as a Geo Prizm as well as the well known Corolla. It pissed me off when I found out. I just had a new engine put in my car. I found one with only 9000 miles. not a typo, 9000. i got the engine, clutch, and installation for $1300. maybe we should change the name of the site to geoprizm.net. lol, jk.

I heard from somebody once that cavaliers have toyota engines in them. like the 95+ models

One of my friends had one, raced him, and guess what! I couldn't believe it...j/k I spanked him.

Well, one thing though: if GM has to use Toyota engines, that shows GM doesn't know how to make em'.

I'm not sure if Toyota makes cavaliers... I really hope not... my G/F had a 98 before she got her 7th gen and it was the BIGGEST POS I have ever driven... All kinds of stuff went wrong with it and it was only 2 or 3 years old.

Newayz I will say that TRD make a pretty cool body kit for the Cavalier... If I find a pick I'll post it here

user posted image

I got sick of lookin for the pic so I just scanned it outta my TRD allparts catalog... thats why its crocked.

Newayz... for a Cavalier is not too bad....

ok so if we both have the same motor, who would win in a race, both cars stock, and the drivers have the same skill.

this thread has been dead for some time, but i searched for 4age and found it.
corolla & prism = same car... joint venture between toyota & gm. the st celica has the same engine (good 'ol 7afe).
matrix & vibe = again... pretty much the same car... another joint venture. this time they share engines and both use new corolla suspension components i believe. who cares what other cars have your engine... if it works, it works. someone could drop a 3sgte into a pos metro (hahahah 3 cylinder car)... would you lose respect then?

metros actually do have some acceleration... i pulled up next to a kid i know that was driving one... revved my engine and started laughing... the light turned green and he shot off. so i floored it in my blazingly fast corolla... started rounding a bend... saw a cop, let the kid go.
