This is for the S54 transmission!
This is only useful for those with a 3rd or 4th Gen 3SGE motor. For those increasing their rpm ceiling and making power in the 7600-8000 rpm range with vvt-i enable cat cams and standalone ecu is perfect because the stock 4.176 ratio is too long when tuning the engine for the higher rev range......

Finally after over a year of waiting. the day has come!!! v woot.gif

MFactory is the Manufacture and sister company of syncrotech. Mfactory said we need 15 people in order to make this batch. Please share this with others at local track events because we need to hit our goal of 15 people.

I will be taking deposit of $475 from everyone before we place our order through PayPal. Mfactory told me we they would like the payment by 7/12/2018, but they could possible extend it for us.

Increase in torque from 4.176 - 4.9 is 18.11%

4.900 final drive in your s54 transmission will gain 27 ft lb torque + 152 = 179 ft lb tq

Prices as follows :

$575 shipped USA

$660 Shipped International

here is mfactory gear speed calculator

but straight cuts are harsher in shifting I believe. as well as not as long life as helical. I used to read up on all that a while ago. basically forgot all of it lol

the guys below in the comment section say it doesnt affect shifting. they say its cheaper to make as well and it any failure it wont affect any other parts inside transmission. rather than the typical helical gear design found in almost all mass produced transmissions.

So you tell that we need to all chose the helical style or the straight cut or we can buy each one what we want ?
Cause for me, a straight cut is okay like it's my track car, + with the exhaust, more or less sound at this point, i dont care anymore smile.gif

What kind of measurements do you need? I have an output shaft and diff with ring laying around in the garage. I have limited tools if you need super-precise measurements - only have standard calipers and 1" micrometer.

on a side note. C and S Series Transmission share the same differential. so the ring size must be the same. mfactory offers 4.785, 4.92 and 5.15 ratios for the AE92 C52 transmission.

I have seen two exact same helical LSD's side by side, one with a C series ring and the other with an S series ring, while they fit on the same diff centre the offsets were different. The LSD with the S series ring sat approximately 5 mm higher than the C series.

So, the straight cut is not a thing anymore ? and it's only 4.785 ratio ? cause i would like a 4.9/5 ratio in straight, and you say it was a thing back then

So when can I buy and when will it be delivered? The 4.78 helical will do me fine and I'm pretty keen to get my hands on it.

Who is actually doing the job and where are they located?

Cause if i follow this, it's because i'm ****ing hell interesting !! biggrin.gif
But if possible i would like more a 4.9 ratio but 4.75 could be good too, depend on how much max speed it will do

OEM final drives are full helical. These provide almost noise-free operation, but also are the least efficient (i.e most parasitic drivetrain loss)

Straight Cut final drives are the reverse. These are the loudest in operation, but are the most efficient (i.e least parasitic drivetrain loss)

And can we get a full Straight cut ? Cause tbh, to see how much my car is loud, having a full straight cut could be fun biggrin.gif

And thx in advance for the 4.9 ! smile.gif

Someone saved the link to know how much max speed it will do with a 4.785 ratio on our gearbox ? Would be appreciate smile.gif

After reflexion, forget the 4.9 ratio, i will take the 4.785 too smile.gif

on a side note. C and S Series Transmission share the same differential. so the ring size must be the same. mfactory offers 4.785, 4.92 and 5.15 ratios for the AE92 C52 transmission.

I just called and confirmed that all those 3 different ratios for the c52 transmission are helical cut from mfactory. So thats good news for us and those that strictly want a helical cut design so its not noisy.

Deadline for this group buy will be April 16th 2018. By then I'll start to collect payment and proceed to having them made. Whether that be through the company in South Africa with straight cut gears in 4.700 ratio or through MFactory here local to me in a helical cut design.

I will have disassembled my trans and drop off my ring and pinion for MFactory to give me a quote by March 22rd. I honestly don't know how long it will take MFactory to get back to me with a quote on pricing. but im hoping 2 weeks maximum

If it helps, I have an output shaft (the one with pinion) and ring already out of transmission and disassembled from when I was doing my Frankenstein S51 final drive & 5th gear + S54 1-4 gears. I can lend it to you for free if you'd like - just throw me a deposit and cover shipping both ways. I would like to have the parts back my May, as that's when I have my LeMons race coming up and these act as my spares. Parts are not damaged or worn. I have all the other guts of the gearbox as well - stock diff, gears, etc.

Okay, so we have the choice between a 4.7 straight cut or a helical cut, but you only send yours to MFactory, so how the company in south africa will do ? they already have the design to make one ? or you will send them the data for making it ?

Cause i'm of course interested by the straight cut and i'm wondering how they will make it smile.gif

For the payment, how we will make it ? are we all gonna send 700USD or 700USD + shipping depend on where we lived ?

Ok so i dropped off ring n pinion at syncrotech (mfactory is a sister company) David said straight cut is not a good design and causes too much lateral force on the trans housing n causes parts to break. They know from trial and error on honda motors.

Okay so straight cut is a bad idea frown.gif

So the price for the 4.750 will be around 700$ (of course we will see the real price in 2 week or so) but if we want 4.9 or 5.1 it will cost 100$ more but it's possible ?
And it's not 6 week but 6 month to produced in the end ?

Sorry if i ask stupid question, just want to be sure i have well understood

We are close now smile.gif

$660 Shipped International

not sure how many of you are interested still but i'll be getting another quote from Elite Racing Transmission In UK in a few weeks. just have to measure my parts first.

also for those of you considering an E56 transmission. i have a lead on a guy in Europe who is charging 250 euros plus shipping. then all you have to do is find a final drive from a 96-2000 Rav4 with 3sfe motor. the E250 transaxle from the Front wheel drive has a 4.562 final ratio and the AWD E250F has a 4.933 ratio. its something im highly considering. although e56 is heavier it does have lines to attach external oil cooler.

I have decided to go with the E56 gearbox for the extra strength and a set of custom 1-5 gears.
