Ok this is for sure. I can answer most questions, I let them know about the infamous Japanese hood latch problem, its fiberglass with a carbon fiber overlay.
 I need a CONFIRMED amount of people to let ViS know a FOR SURE number so we can get a price on these hoods (350 is with 40). I might also put an ad on eBay. Celiman its not a scoop..its a vent. It will let heat out from under the hood but it wont force air in.

They already make full carbon fiber OEM and Invader style hoods, so if thats what you were interested in than you could buy one from ViS of Erebuni. Besides i dont think that fiberglass and carbon fiber will hurt at all...it'll look about the same, and if anything make it significantly cheaper to make. Go to www.auto-interior.com you can get leather for less than what you saved or can get the vinyl for about $500 and use the rest for the hood JK Celi. I got my leathers from them and their work is unbelievable. |

well weight shouldnt be a hugeeee issue... no different then riding with the spare tire, strength will be the same as a normal cf or fiberglass hood. if your worried about the weight just dont eat mcdonalds or drink soda for a few weeks, youll not only save money but reduce weight

EDIT: I was under the impression that a C/F hood was 50% lighter than stock

The hood will come with wire mesh in them. You guys probably know more about
the hood then we do, but from my understanding it is from 94-99. Thanks for the tip, when we begin making the hood, we will change the latch, just remind me again. Thanks vis is macks.... so y'all sign up -------------------- i am awesome

I really hope you people are joking. Do you even know the difference between fiberglass and carbon fiber???? They are both made the same way.
From what you people are saying, it sounds like if you had a little dent in the fender youd go out and buy a new fender instead of using bondo. its not a sticker, when its molded itll be carbon fiber as the first layer, then fiberglass will be bound into that. all of the fibers will blend and the top will be true carbon fiber. i do not know if all VIS hoods are like this, but it's obviously something they do. -------------------- i am awesome

yeah dude...it IS a carbon fiber hood...just not 100%. You loose no functionality by having part of it fiber glass. I dont see what the big problem is. You'll probably never have a chance to get a hood like this unless you do it now...yet you guys are worried about something that insignificant? It just doesn't make sense to me.

Has anyone done a search on how much one of the real c-one hoods cost??? I have and they aren't cheap how $1200 suit you??? Guys come on really now Andason has gone through a lot of trouble to get the GB off the ground and when he does everyone runs away. I know everyone is upset because it isn't 100% CF but when you look at the alternitives there are few and one them cost $1200. Well this is just my two cents.
