Im thinking about going for a flat black primer hood and gunmetal gray wheels with a machined lip this summer. sound good looking or cheap? Ive got a renassaince red coupe, and Ill purchace a used hood and keep my painted one, btw...

spring for the c/f man. otherwise having a hood different from your bodycolor looks cheap imo.

Yeah its that " i want the carbon fiber hood but cant afford it" kinda look. Plus its flat black...everyhing else is going to be shiny...you dont hear people sayin, "wow thats some nice primer."

I had a flat black hood on for a day, people liked it cause it looks good on white, i'd bet on red too..........but then again, people down here don't know what carbon fiber is biggrin.gif

imho, carbon fiber looks like **** unless you are upclose to really see that it is carbon fiber. From far away, it just looks like you've got mismatched paint.

Just having the hood flat black looks horrible in my opinion, but some of the most beuatiful cars ever made had flat black hoods along with some other features too(top of the fenders, spoilers, logos, etc).

I think a celica would look good if you had it painted the right way with flat black.

those cars dont come stock with flat black hoods...and thats american muscle. Quite different than import sport.

Yes, those cars are completely stock including the flat black fiberglass hoods.
