Lately I've been really busy with car projects, one of which was painting my engine bay a dark gray color, and I figured you guys might want to see an updated photo of the car with the painted engine bay.

Also, I've been really busy working on a new fiberglass interior panel(I'll post more details once it's done), and working on alarm stuff(Installed my power window module yesterday) and fixing suspension noises. smile.gif

Hey,that looks good. The grey matches the yellow exterior and the silver top engine. How much stuff did you have to remove in order to paint it.

I just removed a couple lines, the coil, fuse box, and some other miscellaneous stuff. I found that aluminum foil works very well for masking stuff off, and I used a lot of masking tape and some drop plastic stuff. I didn't do all of this before it was painted because I was working on the car outside and it was windy and dusty and stuff. wink.gif

I think coomers 4a-ge is sexier looking then my 185 3S-GTE, but I think a 205 3S-GTE looks better then both wink.gif

It would be pretty tough to keep the yellow looking clean compared to the grey

I'm not sure if its something that needs a how-to. Its basically removing the parts that are in the way and masking off or covering everything else. Sort of a trial and error to see what you can get done type thing.

Yeah, it really is very, very basic. You just mask parts off with aluminum foil, drop plastic, and masking tape, take off a few bolt on brackets and lines, and then paint. wink.gif

Oh, I also sanded down the underside of the hood with 320 grit sandpaper, and cleaned everything with rubbing alcohol before I painted. smile.gif
