The time has come that all us celica owners HATE to see. ToYCeLi8 is no more... frown.gif After a crazy night on Mt. Wilson in La Canada/Flintridge area the mountain won the battle and put a hault to the killing spree.

Well i guess these pics should be enough for you to understand...

Sorry to see that. But man, if something like that let me down I would never be able to get the GT4. Just get a fender and a door and repair if possible. Anyway, i hope everything turns up fine.

tisk tisk david.... and you should try to fix it... but if you dont I want the IC, piping, and the AFM adapter biggrin.gif

having such a car in the crowded LA area makes you go to bad dangerous areas frown.gif and once again you better fix it... you have had the car for a grand total of probably 2 months with it actually running!!!! BAD BAD DAVID!

That sucks man... That car was awesome.

You're probably still upset but let me know if you're parting it out. I want first dibs on some of the st205 body parts that I need to finish my front end. Need a bunch of little stuff that's probably not damaged or is minor. Let me know... email me at ahastings@darwinsc.com

sory for the loss...but if it is not totaled, I would say gut your car and buy another celica. A cheap 94 or something and transplant that engine. There doesn't seem to be that much damage(compared to some of the other celi accidents we have seen on this site). Good Luck!

Sorry to see that your car got messed up but thankfully you're ok. From looking at the pics I really don't think it's totalled. Maybe if the frame is bent(if it is you could get it on a straightner), but, as much money and time as you've have into it I think you should get it fixed.

If the insurance company asks you if you want to buy your car back,DO IT!

We can start a poll asking the members what you should do now but the result would prolly be 90% to fix it. Anyway, you will decide because we dont know exactly what kind of damages it has or what kind of insurance repayment you are looking at.

And just to have a bit of fun with you and some other coupe owners, scrap and start over with a real Celica - a hatch. wink.gif

and before people start flaming me... i am only kidding, dont forget I have a Curren parked next to my GT4. biggrin.gif

dude, it could be worse... i read the topic and was like "holy **** someone finally died" but then opened it and it was just your car. still sucks though man. after all the time and money, id say fix it if its feasable. to me, it doesnt look like there is any damage to the a pillar, just the door, fender, bumper (frown.gif), and maybe hood.... good luck with whatever you decided to do...

ok. Here's an update.

Me and my budy convinced David to fix his car. Actually, we are goin to take care of it. Both David and his car are in great hands. The damage isn't as bad as i thought it was.

The frame where the door hinges are, is bent just a LITTLE. Once again, minor.

Besides that, we just have to replace the door, fender, winshield, and strut cause i think it bent.

Dont worry everyone. Weather David likes it or not, i'll make sure that the celica smokes again.

In the words of David..........

HAPPY BOOSTING.

OMG that sucks!

Your car is one of my favorite ones on this site

luckily the damage doesn't look like it too bad, diffently would get the frame looked at though and if its off either have it straightened or total it and get another celi.

Best of luck to ya and keep us posted

wink.gif hopefully u'll be boostin soon wink.gif

It looks totaled... and here's why.

The Windshield is cracked which tells me that whole A pillar was compressed and i don't know automotive steel to bend back after something like that.. i would guess more is tweaked on that car then meets the eye, and unless his insurance covers the hood and bumper mods, and fresh paint, they may just cut him a check...

yeah most celicas that have accidents will have the windsheild broken why you ask well the airbag deploys and the top part of the airbag cause the window to break. just do a search for most celicas that had there air bags deployed. 99.9 percent of them will have a broken windshield

the car looks cool just a little bondo and youll be ok. at least your ok.

Thanx sphinx,

Well what sphinx says is true i will be fixing my car. As for what i have to replace is from what you can see the door, fender, front windshield, and side mirror. Now what you cant see is the control arm. axle have to be replaced and NEW rims. SO in parts and some labor will be around $900-1k. Then the paint will be done by a member on celica.net for about $700 thats w/ the paint. I am pretty sure that there will be more little things here and there that will come up. But my goal is to have it done at theend of MAY. Then little to NO driving it just shows.

Thats it for now ill keep you guys posted.

frown.gif Damn it David you messed up the celica!!! All that work and money. You better fix it. There will be no REST IN PEACE because that Celica will not DIE. I've help David and that car ever since the swap and body project started. I got dirty working on that car and saw it grow from a slow little celica to one fast machine. I will not let the celica die. So to see it messed up like that ^%$*.

It's great David decided to fix the celica. ToYCeLi8 will live again biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Well if Jesus rose on the 3rd day, ToYCeLi8 has risen on the 3rd week! (hope i dont go to hell for that analogy) I didnt come back as strong as before but at least I'm out on the streets.

My poor baby is on the streets but it brings a tear to my eye when i look at her b/c my car is suffering. I kid you not i can hardly tell its my car anymore from the passenger side. I mean look at my SIG then take a look at these pics i took this morning. My car looks like the ultimate FRANKENSTEIN! A '94 door, 97 fender, 96, control arm, 92 motor, 95 body!

At least you know where everything comes from. When i was repairing my gt4 i had no idea where the hood, fenders, doors, cabin/roof (yes roof) came from. I was just happy everything fits(more or less) especially happy for the roof with a sunroof that i now have. a fresh coat of paint and you will be just fine.
