So, what's a good offset for our cars? I'm going rim shopping again but want it flush instead of in a little.

Measure the distance (in mm) you want the new rim to stick out to. Then, go to this website:

wheel offset calculator

You will still need to check your turning and brake clearances. Hope it helps.

WTF, sorry for hijacking your thread, but I have a question for you. When you were describing the Tein springs, you said something like "they feel like stock." By this do you mean that they are as soft and you still get the same amount of nose dive when braking, the same amount of up and down movement when shifting and the same body roll in corners? Or did you mean that those things are improved, but the comfort is as good as stock? I couldn't tell if your statement was critisism or praise. Thanks.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

RIght on, they are as soft as stock and get the same amount of nose dive, but now you're closer to the ground...so speed bumps suck, you gotta go hella slow...
Body roll is a biatch too, it's pretty much the same as stock.. Handling hardly improved at all. I wouldn't recommend the springs unless you were all show. The only thing at improved was the looks...

Good choice, and thanks for the thread hi-jacking. A PM would have been more appropriate.

i think an off set of like somewhere around 35..with 7" wide rims will get you close to the wheelwell edge..i've got a 40 offset on mine, and theyre a good inch or 2 in..maybe even a 32? hmm wink.gif

I have an 18" by 7.5" rim with a +35 offset and say its almost perfect. If anything I would try and go for a +38 offset simply b/c I cant go as low as I want to anymore due to rubbing.

Depends on what size rim, what size tire...its not an exact answer.

I have 215/35/18s...pretty close.

I was looking to get 235/35 R18 tires on 18x8,5 Wheels in the front and 18x9,5 at the rear. I have no clou what would fit: 30front/30rear offset or 37front 38rear offset? Or should i ask if they can produce a special 35front and 35rear offset???

The car is a ST205 Gt Four. wink.gif

Thanks
