I have Magnecor 8.5mm wires and Denso Iridium plugs. Got them both from a vendor I sued to work for, beacuse I could get them cheap.
Copper plugs are generally what I recommend if you need new ones. I know a lot of people on 6gc have NGK wires, I used to have a set on my '95... No problems; I upgraded after using them for 5 years due to the boots being burnt through.

I just put on NGK wires and Bosch Platinum 4 plugs. No problems and its running smooth. Only on for a week though.

95STHATCH, why do you not like the Bosch?

You should be able to find them easily on the net somewhere.

NGK wires ($60)
Plugs, distributor cap, and rotor ($40)

Denso Iridium Plugs are probably the best.

http://www.sparkplugs.com/default.asp

Probably get them for a good price there, and some Magnecore wires

didn't notice any change much from the stock wires.
