Dont the rs's have crappy neon engines? I f so stear clear of that, theres a reason you always see neons broken down on the side of the road, I do anyways.

Definitely keep the celica. You will regret it in the end.

"dear jesus, i really wish id stop seeing these damn threads.

does your mom dress you?

MAKE UP YOUR OWN DAMN MIND PLEASE.

Also, I dont know why anyone would post anything related to getting rid of the celi on a celica forum. We love our cars.

This isnt really directed at you, I'm just really sick of seeing these threads and this is the first one I've posted on."

confused.gif than dont post. sometimes people need a little push in one direction. in most cases they already have their mind made up, but if they see a good argument it could reinforce their opinion or make them form a new one. if u dont like it, dont click it.

now back to the topic, my g/f has an rs and its only got 60k and its burning oil badley, she bought it brand new in 99. its pretty quick for being the lowest model.. just think it through, there is much more aftermarket for an eclipse so if you wanted to you could make it go faster than a celli, and u also have a much bigger selection of bodykits and such,

but imo, stay celli tongue.gif than again we are all biased

The engine in that car is supposedly a lot more reliable than the problem-plagued 4G63T that resides in the turbocharged second generation Eclipses/Talons. My mechanic swears by that engine, and has one in his Neon that pushes 432 wheel horsepower.

That said, it's still probably not as reliable as a Celica, and the car isn't as unique either. I've got two friends with second generation Eclipses, and both of them are having various problems besides their engines right now. Both are having transmission and sensor issues.

I'd stick with the Celica if I were you. smile.gif
