Well i installed my tein springs the other day and i have some clunking noises in the rear. Does anyone else have any noise? Maybe my sway bar links arent tight enough? I checked the tightness of everything up top already.

I've got that too. I just figuered it was due to my blown rear struts

check to see if ur swaybar links are tight, look if you have the rubber cover on the springs facing up, do you have new shocks?, last you might need new strut mounts.

Also check if everything else is tight. I would say its the mounts if everything is tight.

Also make sure that your mounts, rubber protectors and spring are all facing the right way. Make sure to check that the top part of your shock "rod" is ligned up and seated in the correct notch position too. That could be the cause of it?

When that mount is assembled, it should "lock" into place and not turn at all.

new struts in the rear.. no noise until i put the teins on. The mounts are still good and they are facing in the right direction (paint mark out) and springs are seated and mounted correctly. I think it may be the end links. Im going to check them later after i eat. One of my end links is really messed up from me being retarded so i may not be able to work with it much. I guess im going to have to fork out the 50$ and buy that junky thing smile.gif

Yeah I'd suggest replacing your swaybar links. Chances are through the yrs it starts to wear down, also depending on how often you "messed" with them it could of also wore down also.

I replaced my links with new ones since I've tried taking them of once before when I had my ground controls. Also, since I live in MI, salty roads also wear them down, thought it was time for new ones. Replaced them about 2 months ago and have no problems/noises.

disconnected the sway bar links from the struts and the noise is gone. I really messed up one of the links awhile back though so i had to cut it off. While i was cutting it off the little bracket that mounts to the strut came loose from the heat. Now i have to find a welder and tack that junk back on and put a new link on. Bling bling!
