![]() Hey I got in an accident about a week ago. I'm looking at replacing the bumper with the gt-4 bumper, and also picking up the hood. I got a list of parts from the "gt-4 hood and bumper" string, and sent those off to my dealer. He was able to get all but the ususal three parts that I'll get from toyota world. My questions: 1. It doesn't appear that the actual bumber cover is included, the part # listed as gt-4 bumper, 52521-20200 comes up as the retainer, and only comes in at $31.95. I sent him this list of parts: (he was able to get all but the turn signals and the the hood bulge because of the paint code) 53301-20500 (GT-4 Hood) 81510-20750 (Turn Signal) 81520-20750 (Turn Signal) 52611-20150 (Absorber) 52521-20200 (Retainer) 53395-20020 (Hood Seal) 75034-20030 (Rear Hood Vent) 75033-20030 (Rear Hood Vent) 76180-20010 (Hood Bulge) 76190-20010 (Plate Assembly) 53101-20500 (Grill) 53111-20750 (Other Grill) question: What is the part number for the actual hood piece, because it doesn't seem this list has that on there. Also, is there anything needed that isn't included on this list. 2. Is the bumper cover plastic or fiberglass? 3. Is the actual metal bumper included in this list? The piece circled in red is the one in question. Will I need to buy a standard US one, or is it icluded in the above mentioned parts list? ![]() ![]() Thanks for the help! -------------------- ![]() psalm 69 |

that metal bumper back behind the real bumper you just leave there unless it's damaged then go get one from the US dealer cause you have to keep that the same and not JDM cause they are the same anyways

I didn't get mine from a dealer so I won't be too much with number one. Number 2 is it is plastic, same plastic that the original was made of. As for number three and playr158's comment, the metal bar was different on mine. Since I didn't order it can't tell you if it comes the part numbers listed in the various threads. But it is different because it holds the brackets for the fog lights. I will try and post some pics tonight of what I have. By the way - Nice green!
I just took my stock ones off - if you need them, let me know. This post has been edited by Green_MachToy: Aug 3, 2004 - 8:51 PM |

The 5mph crash bar is different between the st204/at200 and the st-205(gt-4) the gt-4's is a lot thinner, If you want the bar you'll have to order it. Also the part number for the actual bumper is 52119-2b905 (cost 233.34$) the part number you have is for the starfoam retainer. Hope that helps. |

the stock metal bumper, or what? I might be interested if you have the metal bumper or the supports. Just out of curiosity, where did you get your hood/bumper from? -------------------- ![]() psalm 69 |

you wont be able to use the JDM crash bar without getting the jdm frame brackets..which are like 150 EA from toyota.
your better off getting a new usdm crash bar and cutting it basicly in half, like lagos did. i got lucky when i did mine, and was able to score the frame brackets that you need from mike's 205 clip. ![]() *EDIT* BTW, if you need a new crash bar(it looks abit bent in that pic lol) i have my old one you can have for like 25+shipping ![]() This post has been edited by presure2: Aug 4, 2004 - 10:42 AM -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

No i don't know the part number for the crash bar, it was one of the parts toyota could not get. But if i still had mine i would just modify the stock bar to fit shouldn't take a lot.
BTW for the fog's you can one's almost idenitcal to toyota's factory fogs(5 inch though, fills the foglight whole perfectly) at walmart for 10$ each and unless your right on them you can't tell the difference, that should save you some $$. |

I have the stock metal bumper and the stock supports (if needed), bumper, and fenders. I bought a front clip and got the hood, bumper, and fenders with it. |

How much work is needed to modify the stock bar? Do you know of anyone who has done this? Its looking a lot cheaper to get a US one and simply make it thinner, but I didn't know how much work was involved.
