Hey I just went to my shop and got some stuff done. Would you guys mind telling me if these numbers seem alright?

1 Water Pump - 97.03
1 Timing Belt - 34.32
1 belt - 26.93
1 belt - 19.99
1 belt - 14.36
4 spark plugs - 17.32
antifreeze - 16.00
Labor - replace timing belt, water pump, access belts. flush cooling system, replace plugs - 375.00

Parts - 225.95
labor - 375

total w/ tax 654.20

It seems like a lot to me, im interested in what you guys think.

no that sounds about right; figure $60 per hour, thats like 6.25 hours...doesnt seem unreasonably long for that amount of work.

Sidenote: Are you in Westchester, Erie or Sullivan counties?

Seems about right... Its not the parts that will kill you..its the labor! For that 375$ you could have bought a nice tool set and a chiltons manual and did it yourself and learned alot. Then you will always have the tools to do more stuff.

Yeah theres 3 Mt. Vernons in NY.

I work about 1 mile from North Salem, and I live in Putnam.
